Your work profile

The Database Administrator will manage and execute the migration of data for large-scale project. The role requires expert-level knowledge in database management, data migration planning, and implementation in secure and high-volume environments. The DBA will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data during the migration process and coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve a seamless transition.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Analyze the current database architecture and create a detailed migration strategy that minimizes downtime and risk.

·      Design data mapping and transformation processes to support data consistency between the source and target systems.

·      Develop a comprehensive migration plan, including contingency plans, rollback procedures, and timelines for each phase.

·      Set up and configure target databases in alignment with project requirements and government standards.

·      Ensure that all database components are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability in the new system.

·      Monitor database health, resolve any pre-existing issues, and maintain high availability during the migration.

·      Implement ETL processes to accurately extract, transform, and load data from the source system to the target system.

·      Use advanced ETL tools and scripts (e.g., SQL Server Integration Services, Talend, Informatica) to automate migration workflows.

·      Validate and reconcile migrated data to ensure completeness and integrity, addressing any inconsistencies.

·      Maintain strict data security practices, including encryption and user access controls, to protect sensitive information during migration.

·      Ensure compliance with regulations and standards related to data privacy and confidentiality.

·      Implement audit trails and log management to document data migration activities.

·      Conduct comprehensive testing, including performance, functionality, and integrity tests, to confirm successful data migration.

·      Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with project stakeholders to confirm that data meets requirements in the new system.

·      Address any issues or anomalies during testing and validation promptly.

·      Monitor post-migration performance, identify optimization opportunities, and implement improvements.

·      Develop and implement data governance and maintenance plans for the new environment.

Qualifications:

• B.Tech/ MCA/ M.tech from reputed university
