Your work profile

• We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize large-scale enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in open-source database technologies, performance tuning, high availability architectures, security, and cloud/on-premises infrastructure management.

• The role involves managing mission-critical database platforms, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, disaster recovery, security compliance, and supporting large-scale citizen-facing and digital governance platforms.

Key skills required:

• Minimum 10-12 years of experience managing large-scale enterprise database environments.
• Experience working on Government, Public Sector, or large-scale enterprise projects is preferred.
• Expertise in open-source database technologies, database administration, performance optimization, backup and recovery, security, and infrastructure management.
• Experience supporting high-volume citizen-facing applications, digital governance platforms, or enterprise data platforms.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in fast-paced environments

Technical Skills:

• Database Technologies: Strong hands-on experience with: PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra/ClickHouse (preferred)
• Open-Source Ecosystem: Experience working with open-source technology stack across: Linux Administration, Apache Kafka, Airflow, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Hadoop/Spark ecosystem (preferred)
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or NIC Cloud/MeghRaj. Hands-on experience with: Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure automation tools, CI/CD environments
• Monitoring & Security: Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar. Knowledge of database hardening, encryption, audit logging, and security best practices.
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Shell scripting, Python, or Bash for database automation and operational tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline
