Role Overview

We are seeking a Functional Architect / Business Solution Architect to bridge business strategy and AI technology. This role is responsible for translating complex business problems into clear, AI‑driven solution designs by defining use cases, workflows, agent behaviours, success metrics, and adoption models.

The Functional Architect ensures that GenAI and agentic solutions are feasible, valuable, compliant, and outcome‑driven, working closely with business stakeholders, Tech Architects, and AI engineering teams to deliver solutions that scale and deliver real impact.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Use‑Case Definition

• Partner with business and domain stakeholders to identify high‑value AI and GenAI use cases
• Translate business problems into well‑defined functional requirements, workflows, and solution concepts
• Define success metrics, KPIs, and value hypotheses aligned to business outcomes

AI & GenAI Solution Design

• Design end‑to‑end functional workflows for AI, GenAI, and agentic solutions
• Define agent behaviours, human‑in‑the‑loop checkpoints, escalation paths, and control mechanisms
• Ensure solutions are usable, explainable, and aligned to real user needs

Bridge Between Business & Technology

• Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and technical teams
• Collaborate with AI / GenAI Technical Architects to ensure functional designs are technically feasible
• Support AI engineers with clear functional specifications, scenarios, and acceptance criteria

Adoption, Governance & Value Realisation

• Ensure solutions are designed for adoption, change management, and operational fit
• Align functional designs with data privacy, compliance, and responsible AI considerations
• Track outcomes post‑deployment to validate ROI and business impact

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Analytics, Information Systems, or related field

Experience

• 6–10+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Management, or Solution Architecture roles
• Experience working on AI, analytics, automation, or digital transformation initiatives
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured solution designs

Core Skills (Must‑Have)

• Strong business analysis and problem‑structuring skills
• Experience defining workflows, use cases, and functional requirements
• Understanding of AI / GenAI concepts (no deep coding required)
• Ability to work closely with technical architects and engineering teams
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Good‑to‑Have Skills

• Exposure to GenAI, agentic AI, or intelligent automation initiatives
• Experience in financial services, risk, compliance, or analytics domains
• Product mindset with experience driving adoption and value realization
• Familiarity with agile delivery and design thinking approaches
