Job Summary

Being a critical role as part of the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) operations and the larger Enterprise team, this role is highly impactful to manufacturing, procurement, material planning, logistics and financial accounting operations. 


Your work profile:

  • Independently own Supplier communications for Onboarding, Error resolution, and Compliance.
  • Monitor alerts and apply fixes for EDI failures.
  • Provide support to resolve production issues and extend support to inquiries from internal business teams, supplier and EDI vendor teams meeting appropriate service level agreements.
  • Attending weekly business user group meetings to help understand and resolve outstanding business support issues.
  • Develop, document and maintain business system support processes and workflows.
  • Work with Business, SAP Enterprise team, Lucid EDI team, and EDI Vendor Support team to understand impact of development changes to support processes.
  • Develop relationships with business users and act as exclusive point of contact for EDI across the board.
  • Escalate and manage high/urgent priority issues and drive them for resolution.
  • Work with EDI support vendor to resolve any operational issues.
  • Maintain EDI mapping and implement changes to maps based on business requirements.
  • Maintain support procedure documentation utilizing effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Support routine day-to-day interactions with vendor partners.
  • Coordinate and test implementations with business and /or new vendor partners.

  • Business Insight - Applying knowledge of business operations to support issues.

Key skills required: 

  • Minimum educational qualification – Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 9 years of core experience in EDI, EDI Mapping and EDI Languages – preferably EDIFACT.
  • At least 9 years of experience working in industry standard EDI messages – DELFRC, DELJIT, ORDER, ORDERCHG, DESADV, INVOIC, APERAK.
  • Experience in standard EDI formats - SAP Idoc, JSON, XML and standard communication protocols (HTTP, AS2, OFTP, SFTP/FTP).
  • Experience working with a commercial VAN provider with a good understanding of EDI architecture and technical data flows.
  • Familiarity with EDI infrastructure and end-to-end EDI data flow.
  • At least 9 years of experience using key SAP modules – MM, PP, EWM. Must possess good functional knowledge on these SAP areas.
  • Excellent understanding of how EDI data is translated from and to enterprise data.
  • Strong Supply Chain knowledge with thorough understanding of business processes that drive supply chain data in EDI.
  • Exhibit ability to learn new business processes, create documentation and learn cross functional duties.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create and maintain both internal and external documentation.
  • Experience in ticketing tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
