Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Data Architect who will lead the design and execution of our enterprise-wide data strategy, build modern data architecture solutions, and enable high-impact analytics and AI capabilities across the business. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing a robust and scalable data strategy, including developing data models, guiding master data management (MDM), and establishing data governance policies. You will collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to define data domains, ensure data quality, and provide architectural guidance for the operational data platform. The ideal candidate possesses a comprehensive understanding of data architecture principles, practical data modeling experience, and a solid grasp of data-centric architecture.

Your work profile:

• Define and implement the enterprise data strategy aligned with business goals and digital transformation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain scalable, flexible, and secure data architecture solutions to support EV design, manufacturing, connected vehicle data, and customer engagement.
• Lead the architecture of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Azure/AWS) and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
• Design data models (logical, physical, and dimensional) to support advanced analytics, AI/ML use cases, real-time processing, and data warehousing.
• Architect solutions for handling high-volume streaming data from IoT/telemetry, battery management systems, and vehicle sensors.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure robust data pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging data technologies, tools, and architectures.
• Drive initiatives around data modernization, including migration from legacy systems to cloud-native platforms.
• Champion a data-driven culture and evangelize data architecture best practices across the organization.
• Partner with stakeholders in R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, and Energy Services to identify and deliver data needs.
• Support data scientists and analysts by enabling easy access to reliable, high-quality data.
• Mentor junior architects and engineers, and help build a world-class data team.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies, metadata standards, and data stewardship frameworks.
• Ensure data solutions are compliant with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 26262, NHTSA, SOC 2).
• Implement strong data access controls, encryption, and secure APIs for data services.
• Establish data architecture principles, data standards, best practices, and guidelines for the design of the operational data platform.
• Perform proof of concepts and guide Product team members to design and develop using different data engineering technologies and tools.

Key skills required: 

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
• Deep expertise in cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data lakes, data warehouses, ELT/ETL frameworks, and streaming architectures.
• Proficient in modern data tools like Apache Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Spark, and Python/SQL.
• Experience with real-time/IoT data processing and large-scale analytics in a manufacturing or automotive context.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance standards.
• Experience in defining and implementing data quality initiatives.
