About the Team
The Hedge team, part of Deloitte's tackles complex challenges for businesses and financial institutions. We bridge the gap between finance, risk, mathematics, and algorithms, translating these disciplines to provide impactful solutions. Every day offers new opportunities, from working with financial instruments and risk management to designing bespoke tools for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, or other relevant qualification (FRM/ MBA / CFA)
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in the valuation of financial instruments mainly derivative products. Experience in using valuation tools, including Bloomberg, @risk etc. - Knowledge of financial instruments including vanilla and exotic derivatives, equity linked debentures, convertible debt, etc. will be advantageous.
- Fair understanding of ECL and Hedge effectiveness testing under IFRS/ Ind AS
- Have expertise in oil & gas industry and person should have the fair understanding of commodity trades and hedging mechanism.
- Strong excel skills - other relevant technical analytical skills could also be an advantage e.g. Excel VBA, Python, Matlab or C++ . Knowledge of Advanced Excel, and quantitative skills will be an added advantage.
- Strong business diagnostic skills and the ability to apply a logical and analytical approach to problem solving
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and execute assignments within deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills backed by an enthusiastic approach and a diligent client focus.
