- Develop and maintain backend applications, APIs, and microservices using Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Write clean, efficient, secure, and reusable code following best practices.
- Design and implement database schemas; work with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Build data processing pipelines, automation scripts, and integrations with third-party systems.
- Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX teams, and DevOps engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and optimise performance.
- Implement unit tests, integration tests, and follow CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain documentation for code, APIs, and system architecture.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Python and understanding of OOP concepts.
- Experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and API design principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage.
- Understanding of version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in an agile environment.
