Position Overview 

The Site Support Technician is responsible for delivering comprehensive IT support and operational oversight at a designated site. This role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of local IT services, provides hands-on technical assistance to end users (including VIPs), manages IT assets, and collaborates with vendors and central IT teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical troubleshooting abilities, effective communication, and excellent organizational skills to uphold high standards of IT service delivery. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide day-to-day IT support and troubleshooting for all site users, including VIPs. 
  • Manage and resolve ServiceNow tickets within SLA. 
  • Draft Knowledge Base articles for user assistance. 
  • Address and resolve site-level IT escalations, coordinating with central IT operations as needed. 
  • Ensure adherence to IT and security policies and standards at the site. 
  • Perform regular health checks of onsite IT infrastructure and communicate status updates to management. 
  • Develop and maintain site-specific documentation, including SOPs, knowledge articles, and process guides. 
  • Prepare and submit MIS reports covering site activities, ongoing projects, and vendor performance. 
  • Liaise with IT vendors to support site operations and resolve issues. 
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets, including secure data wiping and proper disposal. 
  • Assist with network and server-related tasks in partnership with the central IT team. 
  • Maintain accurate, real-time records of IT assets, including inventory, allocation, and scheduled replacements. 
  • Present New Hire deck to new hires during new hire orientation 
  • Guide new hires with setting up assigned computers 


Technical Skills & Competencies 

  • Proficient in troubleshooting Windows OS and desktop environments. 
  • Experience using ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) for incident and request management. 
  • Knowledge of IT asset management practices and backup solutions. 
  • Basic understanding of network and server troubleshooting, particularly with Cisco and Azure technologies. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft imaging frameworks for workstation deployment. 
  • Strong team coordination and escalation management skills. 
  • Basic project management and vendor coordination abilities. 
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Demonstrated ability to support VIP users and resolve complex IT issues. 
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes and continuous service improvement methodologies. 


Education & Certification Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. 
  • Preferred: ITIL Foundation certification; IT/Computer Science degree (if undergraduate degree is in a non-IT field). 
  • Optional: Certifications in Server Administration or Networking.
