Job Title: Senior ServiceNow Developer – HR Service Delivery (HRSD)
Position Summary
The Senior ServiceNow Developer – HR Service Delivery (HRSD) is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and implementing scalable ServiceNow HRSD solutions that enhance employee experience and streamline HR operations. This role requires deep technical expertise in ServiceNow HRSD, strong understanding of HR processes, and the ability to collaborate across HR, IT, and vendor teams to deliver high-quality, integrated solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop ServiceNow HRSD applications including Case Management, Employee Center, Lifecycle Events, and HR Knowledge Management.
- Build and enhance the Employee Center and Employee Center Pro to create personalized, role-based portals where employees find answers instantly and complete HR tasks effortlessly
- Create dynamic HR Service Catalogs featuring intuitive request forms, contextual help, and automated fulfillment workflows
- Develop and maintain robust integrations connecting HRSD with critical enterprise systems:
- SuccessFactors: Real-time employee data synchronization, organizational hierarchy updates, and performance data
- Payroll Systems: Automated data exchange for compensation changes, benefits enrollment, and time tracking
- Identity Management: Active Directory, SailPoint integration for access provisioning and de-provisioning
- Collaboration Tools: Microsoft Teams, Slack integration for notifications and approvals
- Ensure alignment with ServiceNow best practices and the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
- Support upgrades, patching, and platform maintenance activities in collaboration with the ServiceNow Architect.
- Maintain documentation for configuration, customization, and technical design.
- Implement data security and role-based access controls in accordance with HR compliance requirements.
- Partner with HR business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
- Collaborate with the ServiceNow Architect to design solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, CSDM standards, and ServiceNow best practices
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
- Support testing, validation, and deployment activities during upgrades and new module rollouts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve HRSD-related incidents and defects.
- Analyze user feedback and recommend platform improvements for better user experience and efficiency.
- Support ongoing optimization of HR workflows, knowledge bases, and employee self-service capabilities.
Qualifications
Technical Proficiency
- Expert-level development skills across ServiceNow platform:
- Flow Designer: Complex workflow design, subflows, decision tables, REST/SOAP integrations
- Scripting: Advanced JavaScript, Glide APIs (GlideRecord, GlideAggregate, GlideDateTime, GlideAjax)
- UI Development: UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, Catalog Client Scripts, UI Pages
- Business Logic: Business Rules, Script Includes, ACLs, Data Policies, workflow activities
- IntegrationHub: Spoke development, custom actions, connection & credential aliases, REST/SOAP integration
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow data architecture, tables, and relationships
- Experience with Transform Maps, Import Sets, and scheduled data imports
- Knowledge of Performance Analytics and reporting capabilities
HR Domain Knowledge
- Solid understanding of core HR processes and employee lifecycle:

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience developing in ServiceNow, including at least 2 years in HR Service Delivery (HRSD).
- Hands-on experience with:
- HR Case and Knowledge Management
- Employee Center / Employee Center Pro
- Lifecycle Events and COE (Center of Excellence) structures
- IntegrationHub and Flow Designer
- Scripting (JavaScript, Glide APIs, etc.)
- Strong understanding of HR operations and employee experience processes (onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, etc.).
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based environments.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
Preferred
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – HR Service Delivery (Highly Preferred)
- Experience integrating HRSD with SuccessFactors or Workforce Software.
- Familiarity with ITSM, ITOM, or other ServiceNow modules.
- Experience working in a global manufacturing or enterprise environment.
- Exposure to IRM, HR integrations, or Employee Experience initiatives.
