Job description

  1. Technical Leadership and Development:
  • Lead the development team in designing, coding, testing, and implementing Pega solutions.
  • Ensure best practices and Pega standards are adhered to during the development process.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, enhancing their skills and knowledge of Pega technologies.
  1. Project Management:
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to define timelines, deliverables, and risks associated with the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in planning sessions and provide detailed technical input on project scope and potential challenges.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while meeting functional requirements.
  1. Solution Design and Implementation:
  • Translate complex business requirements into functional technical solutions using Pega systems.
  • Develop high-quality Pega applications that integrate seamlessly with other systems and technology.
  • Utilize Pega’s Direct Capture Objectives (DCO) methodology to capture objectives and streamline the development process.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
  • Regularly interact with business stakeholders to refine requirements and discuss the feasibility of proposed solutions.
  • Explain technical complexities to non-technical team members or stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Participate in critical meetings including, but not limited to, technical walkthroughs and project status updates.
  1. Quality Assurance and Maintenance:
  • Oversee and participate in the testing phase of development projects to identify and resolve bugs or issues.
  • Ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of applications post-deployment.
  • Address and resolve system outages or performance issues in a timely manner.
  1. Professional Development and Innovation:
  • Stay abreast of the latest Pega technologies and updates as well as industry trends.
  • Encourage and lead innovation by exploring new tools and techniques that enhance the capabilities of Pega solutions.
  • Pursue Pega certifications to deepen technical expertise and credibility in the field.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certified System Architect (CSA) Certified and Senior System Architect (CSSA) , or higher Pega certification.
  • Proven experience in Pega systems development and project leadership.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Pega Cloud or other cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with other programming languages and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of the financial services, healthcare, or insurance industries.
