Your work profile  

Role Description: Mid VMS  

• Configure vehicles, track their lifecycle status, manage related actions, and assign user roles within SAP Vehicle Management System (VMS).  
• Optimize processes for vehicle procurement, import, inventory management, and sales for both manufacturers and dealers.  
• Integrate SAP VMS with Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Financial Accounting/Controlling (FI/CO).  
• Design and maintain variant configuration models for complex automotive products to ensure accurate product structures.  
• Manage VIN-related processes including VIN generation and VIN genealogy tracking.  
• Extend VMS functionality to support Vehicle Service and Warranty processes.  
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to enhance automotive logistics and vehicle lifecycle management systems. 

As a prospective candidate, you should possess: 

• Strong experience in SAP IS-Automotive (IS-A) Vehicle Management System (VMS) implementation and support.  
• In-depth knowledge of SAP SD and MM modules with a focus on automotive industry processes.  
• Solid understanding of vehicle sales, ordering cycles, and dealer/distribution network processes.  
• Expertise in SAP Variant Configuration (LO-VC) or S/4HANA Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC).  
• Experience in working with configuration profiles, characteristics, and classes.  
• Knowledge of VIN generation and VIN genealogy (preferred).  
• Familiarity with SAP Digital Vehicle Hub is an added advantage.  
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. 

Desired qualifications 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.  
• 3 to 7 years of SAP experience, particularly in IS-A Automotive VMS and VC.  
• Proficiency in SAP configuration and RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflow).  
• Experience in data migration and system integration.  
• Experience in unit testing, integration testing, and Go-Live support activities.  
• Exposure to vehicle service, warranty systems, and automotive supply chain processes is a plus.

Your role as an Sr Associate 

1. Integration Development & Delivery 

• Design and develop end-to-end Workato integration solutions 
• Configure Workato environments and implement workflows 
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications 
• Create reusable recipes and optimize integration performance 

2. Technical Design & Documentation 

• Prepare technical design documents (TDDs) 
• Conduct field mapping sessions with stakeholders 
• Ensure adherence to integration standards and best practices 

3. Testing & Quality Assurance 

• Perform end-to-end integration testing 
• Drive test planning and execution 
• Identify and fix integration defects proactively 

4. Stakeholder Collaboration 

• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams 
• Communicate effectively with Product Managers, Project Managers, and SMEs 
• Manage expectations and resolve blockers 

5. Support & Maintenance 

• Provide post-implementation support 
• Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure minimal business disruption 
• Continuously optimize integrations for performance and reliability 

6. Team Contribution & Mentorship 

• Mentor junior developers and business analysts 
• Share knowledge on Workato best practices and design patterns 
• Participate in training, recruitment, and practice-building initiatives 

7. Project Planning & Estimation 

• Estimate effort, timelines, and complexity for integration projects 
• Support delivery planning and execution.
