Role Description: iPPE & Automotive PPDS 

  

  • Design, configure, and implement SAP iPPE models including Product Structure, Process Structure, and Factory Layout for automotive manufacturing scenarios.  
  • Develop and maintain iPPE models, ensuring correct representation of product and process engineering requirements.  
  • Configure and manage Variant Configuration (VC/AVC) for products with multiple variants, including maintenance of related master data such as Production Versions, PDS, Routing, and BOMs.  
  • Generate Production Data Structures (PDS) from iPPE models, including handling of time-dependent process parameters (TDPP) and product structures.  
  • Implement and support model mix planning, takt-based planning, and Rapid Planning Matrix (RPM) processes.  
  • Apply finite scheduling techniques on continuous time, manage bottleneck resources, and optimize sequence-dependent setup activities.  
  • Handle CIF error management, support integration with EWM, and manage master data migration activities.  
  • Support implementation of Engineering Change Management using iPPE models.  
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to evaluate business models and manufacturing processes.  
  • Support issue resolution related to material master, BOMs, routings, and production orders in automotive contexts. 

 

 

As a prospective candidate, you should possess: 

  

  • Demonstrated expertise in SAP APO-PPDS or SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing (PP/DS) with a focus on iPPE (Integrated Product and Process Engineering).  
  • Strong background in discrete and repetitive manufacturing environments.  
  • Experience with Variant Configuration and automotive industry-related processes.  
  • Proven capability in developing iPPE models and working with Product Structure, Process Structure, and Factory Layout.  
  • Proficiency in generating and managing Production Data Structures (PDS) including TDPP and related configurations.  
  • Experience with model mix planning, takt-based planning, and Rapid Planning Matrix (RPM).  
  • Hands-on experience with CIF error handling, EWM integration, and master data migration.  
  • Familiarity with Engineering Change Management processes using iPPE models.  
  • Automotive industry experience, including handling operational and configuration-related challenges. 

 

Desired qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor's or master’s in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience. 
  • Experience working closely with business stakeholders on manufacturing process evaluation. 
  • Business Experience:  7-9 years of experience.
