Job Title: Senior Automation Testing QA

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Tester who combines deep test automation expertise with strong functional testing capabilities. This role requires hands-on contribution along with ownership of test strategy, mentoring team members, and driving quality engineering practices across the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable automation frameworks and strategies
• Lead automation and functional testing efforts across projects
• Review and analyze business requirements, ensuring testability and coverage
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration layers
• Perform functional, regression, system, and exploratory testing
• Define and enforce QA standards, best practices, and processes
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure continuous quality checks
• Drive test planning, estimation, and risk identification
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, BA, Product) to ensure shift-left testing
• Conduct test reviews, defect triage, and root cause analysis
• Mentor junior QA engineers and guide team on automation adoption
• Provide regular status reporting, metrics, and quality insights to stakeholders

Must-Have Skills

Automation Testing

• Strong hands-on experience with: Selenium WebDriver / Playwright / Cypress
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java / Python / JavaScript
• Experience with test frameworks: TestNG / JUnit / Mocha / PyTest
• Expertise in API automation: REST Assured / Karate / Postman
• Experience integrating tests with CI/CD tools: Jenkins / GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git)

Functional Testing

• Strong experience in:
• Requirement analysis and test case design
• Functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
• Deep understanding of:
• Test design techniques and QA methodologies
• Experience in validating complex business workflows and data scenarios
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools:
• JIRA / Azure DevOps

Good to Have

• Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow)
• Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling)
• Experience in mobile automation (Appium)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of microservices architecture testing
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
