Job Title: Senior Mobile Developer (React Native Migration)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Developer to lead the transition of our existing native mobile applications (iOS/Android) to a React Native-based architecture over the next 3–5 months.

This role requires a strong blend of technical leadership, cross-platform expertise, and deep understanding of native mobile development. You will be responsible for defining the migration approach, ensuring minimal disruption to existing applications, and driving best practices for scalable mobile engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end migration strategy from native (iOS/Android) to React Native
  • Design and implement scalable cross-platform architecture and reusable components
  • Evaluate existing native codebases and define migration patterns (rewrite vs bridge vs hybrid)
  • Develop and review high-quality React Native code while ensuring parity with native apps
  • Provide hands-on support for existing native applications during transition
  • Define and implement performance optimization strategies across mobile platforms
  • Collaborate with backend, product, QA, and DevOps teams for seamless delivery
  • Drive code quality, standards, and best practices through reviews and governance
  • Mentor and guide developers on React Native and native interoperability
  • Ensure smooth integration with APIs, third-party SDKs, and platform-specific capabilities
  • Oversee CI/CD pipelines, release management, and app store deployments
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to migration, performance, and scalability
  • Leverage and adopt AI-assisted development tools and practices to improve productivity and code quality

Must-Have Skills

React Native / Cross-Platform Expertise

  • Strong hands-on experience with React Native in production environments
  • Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Experience with state management (Redux, MobX, Context API)
  • Deep understanding of React Native architecture and lifecycle

Native Mobile Development

  • Strong experience in:
  • iOS (Swift / Objective-C) and/or
  • Android (Kotlin / Java)
  • Hands-on experience with native modules, bridging, and platform-specific integrations

Architecture & Migration

  • Proven experience in:
  • App modernization / migration initiatives
  • Designing hybrid and cross-platform architectures
  • Strong understanding of mobile design patterns (MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture)

Performance & Optimization

  • Experience in:
  • Debugging performance bottlenecks
  • Optimizing rendering, memory usage, and network calls
  • Familiarity with profiling tools for mobile applications

DevOps & Delivery

  • Experience with:
  • CI/CD tools (Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
  • App Store and Play Store release processes
  • Strong knowledge of Git-based workflows

Good to Have

  • Experience with Expo ecosystem
  • Knowledge of mobile security best practices
  • Exposure to automated mobile testing (Detox, Appium, Jest)
  • Experience with analytics and crash reporting tools (Firebase, Crashlytics)
  • Familiarity with micro-frontend or modular mobile architectures
