Job Title:  Lead Senior Associate | VMware Admin | Hyderabad | Engineering as a Service/ Operate

Sr. VMware (VCF) Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Operate as a technical expert on infrastructure projects involving VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and SDDC platform engineering.
  • Deploy, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot VCF lifecycle management, workload domains, vCenter, ESXi hosts, vSAN clusters, and NSX‑T networking.
  • Implement and maintain enterprise virtualization standards, security hardening, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
  • Oversee integrations between VCF and adjacent platforms, including HCI, hardware platforms, automation tooling, and cloud services.
  • Continually analyze platform performance and recommend optimizations for scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with architecture, networking, and security teams to ensure alignment with business and compliance requirements.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers on VCF architecture, VMware best practices, and operational processes.
  • Participate in ongoing technology reviews and stay informed on the VMware roadmap, licensing updates, and industry trends.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting VMware vSphere environments in enterprise-scale deployments.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, including lifecycle management and workload domain operations.
  • 5+ years of experience with NSX‑T, including distributed networking, security policies, and micro‑segmentation.
  • Strong experience with vSAN deployment, storage policy management, and HCI capacity planning.
  • Proven background supporting/administering Windows and or Linux.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise directory and authentication services (AD, DNS, DHCP, MFA, Group Policy, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • VMware certifications such as VCP‑DCV, VCAP‑DCV, VCP‑NV, or VCF Specialist.
  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Powershell, PowerCLI, bash shell and or python.
  • Experience with Citrix technologies (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, XenApp/XenDesktop).
  • Familiarity with hybrid‑cloud VMware platforms (VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, Google Cloud VMware Engine).
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes platforms (Tanzu, AKS, EKS) within VCF environments.
  • Experience with enterprise hardware platforms (Dell VxRail, HPE Synergy, Cisco UCS).
  • Experience with Proxmox VE or related open‑source virtualization platforms.
