Your work profile  

Role Description: Mid Workato Developer 

As a Mid Workato Developer (Senior Associate), you will be responsible for delivering integration solutions using Workato, ensuring seamless connectivity between applications and systems. You will manage integration lifecycle activities including design, development, testing, and post-deployment support while collaborating with cross-functional teams. 

• Manage end-to-end Workato integration design, configuration, and testing for projects.  
• Set up Workato environments with essential configurations to support integration solutions.  
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and develop integration flows using Workato.  
• Conduct field mapping sessions with project teams and application owners to ensure accurate data integration.  
• Ensure adherence to integration standards and best practices throughout project delivery.  
• Prepare comprehensive technical design specification documents.  
• Act as a bridge between application teams and stakeholders to facilitate smooth integration delivery.  
• Conduct end-to-end testing to validate integrated solution components and prototypes.  
• Drive test planning, execution, and provide optimization support for integration solutions.  
• Supervise, mentor, and develop junior consultants and business analysts on Workato and implementation methodologies.  
• Provide ongoing post-implementation support to optimize user adoption and system performance.  
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.  
• Estimate project-level efforts, including complexity, time, and resource requirements.  
• proficiency in communicating with Product/Project Managers, documenting requirements, executing changes, working with various system SMEs to overcome blockers etc. Basically people/negotiation/expectation management skills  
• Participate in practice-building initiatives such as recruiting, staffing, and training.  

As a prospective candidate, you should possess: 

• Strong hands-on experience in Workato platform implementation and integrations. 
• Expertise in Application-to-Application (A2A) and Business-to-Business (B2B) integrations.  
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical integration solutions.  
• Experience working with APIs, web services (REST/SOAP), and integration patterns.  
• Proficiency in SQL, JSON, XML, and at least one programming language.  
• Knowledge of authentication & authorization protocols such as OAuth and WS-Security.  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for debugging integration issues. 
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, and project teams.  
• Capability to handle multiple projects, timelines, and priorities. 

Desired qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related fields. 
• 6–7 years of experience in integration technologies  
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on Workato experience  
• Workato certifications (Automation Pro I, II, III) – Mandatory  
• Experience implementing complex, scalable, high-volume integrations  
• Exposure to:  
• Real-time, batch, and ETL integrations 
• Cloud and on-premise application integrations 
• Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) 
• Strong understanding of data mapping, transformation, and integration workflows

Your role as an Sr Associate 

1. Integration Development & Delivery 

• Design and develop end-to-end Workato integration solutions 
• Configure Workato environments and implement workflows 
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications 
• Create reusable recipes and optimize integration performance 

2. Technical Design & Documentation 

• Prepare technical design documents (TDDs) 
• Conduct field mapping sessions with stakeholders 
• Ensure adherence to integration standards and best practices 

3. Testing & Quality Assurance 

• Perform end-to-end integration testing 
• Drive test planning and execution 
• Identify and fix integration defects proactively 

4. Stakeholder Collaboration 

• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams 
• Communicate effectively with Product Managers, Project Managers, and SMEs 
• Manage expectations and resolve blockers 

5. Support & Maintenance 

• Provide post-implementation support 
• Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure minimal business disruption 
• Continuously optimize integrations for performance and reliability 

6. Team Contribution & Mentorship 

• Mentor junior developers and business analysts 
• Share knowledge on Workato best practices and design patterns 
• Participate in training, recruitment, and practice-building initiatives 

7. Project Planning & Estimation 

• Estimate effort, timelines, and complexity for integration projects 
• Support delivery planning and execution.
