Your work profile  

Role Description: Mid QA Engineer - AUCTUS  

• Own end-to-end QA deliverables for assigned projects from project inception, requirement analysis, and design reviews through validation, sign-off, and release readiness.  
• Develop a deep understanding of system architecture, business workflows, feature decomposition, data flows, and integration points to create effective test strategies.  
• Partner with product managers, architects, developers, and business stakeholders early in the lifecycle to identify risks, clarify requirements, and ensure testability.  
• Create comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases ensuring coverage, traceability, maintainability, and sprint execution readiness.  
• Perform hands-on manual testing of features, workflows, integrations, and edge cases during development and sprint cycles.  
• Execute black box, exploratory, regression, usability, and end-to-end testing across customer-facing and internal applications.  
• Validate functionality across frontend, backend, APIs, and microservices to ensure alignment with business and technical expectations.  
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright for UI and API automation.  
• Build and execute automated test suites for frontend applications, backend services, APIs, and cloud-native microservices.  
• Convert validated manual test scenarios into reusable and maintainable automated test cases and integrate them into regression suites and release pipelines.  
• Develop and execute integration tests, end-to-end scenarios, smoke tests, and reliability test suites.  
• Use Postman for API testing, collection management, and automated validation; use VS Code and GitHub Copilot to enhance test development efficiency.  
• Implement and maintain automation pipelines in Jenkins and integrate testing into CI/CD workflows for continuous testing adoption.  
• Identify and implement QA best practices to prevent regressions and improve product quality and release confidence.  
• Continuously improve test coverage strategy through automation, manual testing, and risk-based prioritization.  
• Mentor and guide offshore QA engineers by assigning tasks, providing technical direction, and supporting skill development.  
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Architecture teams; provide structured documentation and present QA progress, risks, metrics, and release readiness updates to leadership.  
• Support defect investigation, root cause analysis, retesting, and continuously refine QA processes, automation coverage, and testing methodologies. 

As a prospective candidate, you should possess: 

• Strong experience in both test automation and hands-on manual QA across the full project lifecycle.  
• Proven ability to design and maintain automation frameworks across UI, API, backend services, and microservices.  
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI and API automation.  
• Strong API testing experience using Postman, including scripting and collection automation.  
• Experience manually testing complex workflows and converting them into automated test scenarios.  
• Strong understanding of system architecture, feature breakdowns, integration dependencies, and end-to-end business workflows.  
• Experience designing and executing end-to-end test plans across distributed systems.  
• Proficiency with VS Code and GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and code quality.  
• Experience working with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar tools.  
• Experience testing Salesforce, Java Spring Boot, and AWS-based microservices.  
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, QA processes, regression prevention, and quality best practices.  
• Ability to own QA deliverables from inception through release with a focus on quality and reliability.  
• Experience working across frontend, backend, APIs, integrations, and microservices environments.  
• Ability to lead, mentor, and manage offshore QA engineers.  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and documentation skills.  
• Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to provide structured updates to management.  
• Experience collaborating across engineering, product, and DevOps teams in Agile environments.  
• Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively with global teams. 

Desired qualifications 

• Bachelor's in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience. 
• Proven ability to own QA processes and deliverables across the full product lifecycle.  
• Experience working in distributed team environments with offshore coordination.  
• Strong alignment with quality engineering best practices and continuous improvement approaches. 
• Business Experience: 5+ years of experience.
