SAP Workflow and ABAP Developer

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Workflow & ABAP Developer with 3-7 years of experience to design, build, and optimize custom solutions in SAP ECC/S/4HANA. You will be responsible for delivering workflow solutions for various business processes and coordinating with business users to determine and implement solutions for procurement, supply chain, and finance-related scenarios. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in SAP Workflow and ABAP development, understands functional business processes, and collaborates effectively with business stakeholders and BASIS/Security teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and enhance workflows in SAP to automate business processes, approval workflows, and notification processes.

• Implement event linkages, BOR/Classes, task containers, deadline monitoring, substitutions, and escalations.

• Develop workflow user tasks (UI5/Fiori My Inbox, SAP GUI, Web Dynpro) and support workflow monitoring and error resolution using tools such as SWI1 and SWIA.

• Create custom workflow templates, rules (BRF+, Rule Resolution via Function Module/Org Object), and inbox optimization.

• Work on business workflows across SAP modules including Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance.

• Develop and deliver SAP ABAP development objects and enhancements for various modules in SAP ECC/S/4HANA.

• Participate in end-to-end ABAP development activities including design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment support.

• Monitor and troubleshoot SAP workflows and ABAP developments in production environments.

• Review functional requirements and prepare technical design documents.

• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.

• Debug ABAP code, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 3-7 years of experience in SAP Workflow, BRF+, ABAP, OOP, and modern ABAP technologies such as CDS Views and OData Services.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Workflow design, development, and support.

• Proficiency in workflow tools such as Workflow Builder, Business Object Builder, and UWL.

• Strong SAP Workflow experience supporting the design and development of key SAP business processes.

• Experience developing workflow solutions involving approvals, notifications, escalations, substitutions, and agent determination.

• Strong ABAP development experience including reports, enhancements, interfaces, forms, BADIs, user exits, and object-oriented programming.

• Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.

• Exposure to SAP Fiori, My Inbox, CDS Views, OData Services, and workflow-related UI development.

• Experience with SAP BTP and the ability to work with services deployed on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.

• Good understanding of Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance business processes.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
