Your work profile

• As a SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) Analyst to support and enhance order-to-cash, sales, distribution, and customer management processes within the Oil & Gas domain. Should possess strong SAP SD functional expertise, experience in production support and enhancement projects, and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to optimize sales and distribution operations.
• The role involves configuring SAP SD solutions, resolving business process issues, supporting end users, and driving continuous process improvements across the sales and supply chain ecosystem.
• Provide functional support and maintenance for SAP SD processes and applications.
• Configure and support SAP SD functionalities, including : Customer Master Management, Sales Order Processing, Pricing and Billing, Shipping and Delivery Processing, Returns Management, Credit Management, Output Determination, Partner Functions.
• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Support end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) business processes.
• Resolve production support incidents, service requests, and enhancement requirements within agreed SLAs.
• Collaborate with business users to improve sales, distribution, and customer service processes.
• Work closely with SAP MM, FICO, PM, PS, and other cross-functional teams to support integrated business processes.
• Participate in testing activities including Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, and Regression Testing.
• Assist in system configuration, change management, and deployment activities.
• Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, user guides, and training materials.
• Support master data governance and data quality initiatives.
• Assist in SAP upgrades, S/4HANA transformation programs, and continuous improvement projects.

Key skills required

• Should have atleast 2-3 years of Strong experience in SAP Sales & Distribution (SAP SD) configuration and support.
• Hands-on knowledge of: Sales Order Management, Pricing Procedures, Customer Master Data, Delivery and Shipping Processes, Billing and Invoicing, Returns Processing, Credit Management, Output and Message Control, Intercompany Sales Processes
• Good understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C) business processes.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Sales functionalities is preferred.
• Understanding of integration with: SAP MM (Materials Management), SAP FICO (Finance & Controlling)
• SAP CRM (preferred) and SAP TM/EWM (preferred)
• Experience with incident management, enhancement requests, and support ticket handling.
• SAP SD Certification preferred.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemicals, or Supply Chain Operations is highly desirable.
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, or transformation projects is an advantage.
• Understanding of sales, distribution, logistics, and customer service processes in asset-intensive industries.
• Graduate degree (Science or Engineering) – B.E/B.Tech/M.E/ M.Tech.
