Job Title:  Consultant | Kolkata | Engineering | Data Modernization & Migration

Experience: 3 to 6 years

Role purpose

The Consultant designs and develops AWS cloud infrastructure and serverless API components with moderate independence. The role is expected to own assigned modules, collaborate with client and project teams, and deliver working, secure and maintainable solutions aligned to business requirements.

Key responsibilities

·      Develop AWS cloud services using Terraform scripts and reusable infrastructure as code modules.

·      Build API services using Python, API Gateway and Lambda functions, including deployment and troubleshooting.

·      Implement cloud security configurations including Security Groups, NAT Gateway, NACLs, SFTP, S3 bucket policies and IAM roles or policies.

·      Set up log management and monitoring using CloudWatch Logs, CloudWatch Metrics, VPC Flow Logs and S3 logs.

·      Support integration with data platform services such as Glue, S3, Athena, Redshift and reporting tools such as Tableau.

·      Create unit tests, deployment notes, runbooks and knowledge transition materials.

·      Coordinate with downstream and upstream teams for integration testing, defect resolution and release readiness.

Required technical skills

·      3+ years of Terraform scripting experience preferred, with sound understanding of AWS implementation patterns.

·      2+ years of serverless development experience using API Gateway, Lambda and Python.

·      Strong Python development skills for API services and business functions.

·      Good understanding of AWS networking, IAM, S3, CloudWatch and secure configuration practices.

·      Comfortable working on Linux OS and troubleshooting application or infrastructure issues.

Good-to-have capabilities

·      Experience running Glue Crawlers and Glue Jobs.

·      Ability to develop cron jobs and operational scripts.

·      Working knowledge of CI/CD process and release pipelines.

·      Awareness of data lake, warehouse and reporting patterns.
