Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled SAP PM Consultant with experience in SAP IS-U and Utility Asset Management to support the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) solutions within a utility environment.

The consultant will be responsible for configuring and supporting asset maintenance processes, preventive and corrective maintenance, work order management, equipment lifecycle management, field service operations, and integration with SAP IS-U business processes. The role requires close collaboration with operations, maintenance, metering, engineering, and IT teams to improve asset reliability, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate should possess strong functional knowledge of SAP PM and an understanding of utility operations, including substations, distribution networks, meters, transformers, feeders, and utility infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities

SAP PM Implementation & Configuration

• Configure and support SAP PM business processes.
• Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, system configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
• Prepare functional specifications and business process documents.
• Support SAP PM implementations, rollouts, enhancements, and support engagements.
• Ensure alignment of maintenance processes with utility business requirements.

Maintenance Management

Support end-to-end maintenance processes including:

Work Order Management

Asset & Equipment Management

• Configure and maintain:

SAP IS-U Integration

• Service Connection Infrastructure
• Coordinate with SAP IS-U Device Management and Customer Service teams.

Support maintenance and asset management for:

Integration with Other SAP Modules

Work closely with teams supporting:

Support procurement and inventory processes related to maintenance operations.

Mobile Workforce & Field Operations

• Support mobile workforce management and field service processes.
• Enable field technicians to access work orders and maintenance data.
• Support integration with mobile devices and field applications.
• Improve operational efficiency through digital field service processes.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Prepare:

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field), Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• SAP PM Certification preferred.
• Utility domain certifications will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

• 3–6 years of SAP consulting experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on SAP PM experience.
• Experience in SAP PM implementation, support, or enhancement projects.
• Exposure to SAP IS-U environments preferred.
• Utility industry experience (Power Distribution, Electricity, Water, Gas Utilities) highly desirable.
