Position Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Consultant – SAP IS-U Prepaid Engine with strong expertise in SAP Utilities and prepaid billing solutions. The candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting SAP IS-U Prepaid Engine solutions for utility clients. The role requires deep knowledge of prepaid metering business processes, integration with SAP IS-U, AMI/MDMS systems, payment platforms, and utility customer operations.

The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in utility prepaid programs, smart metering initiatives, and end-to-end Meter-to-Cash (M2C) processes.

Key Responsibilities

SAP IS-U Prepaid Solution Implementation

• Participate in end-to-end implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects involving SAP IS-U Prepaid Engine.
• Gather and analyze business requirements from utility stakeholders.
• Design and configure SAP IS-U Prepaid Engine solutions aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
• Support solution blueprinting, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare activities.

Prepaid Metering & Customer Management

• Configure prepaid customer lifecycle processes.
• Support:
• Customer enrollment and activation
• Prepaid contract management
• Token generation and recharge processes
• Credit balance management
• Emergency credit handling
• Meter disconnect and reconnect processes
• Manage prepaid consumption monitoring and balance calculations.

Billing & Revenue Management

• Configure prepaid charging and tariff structures.
• Support:
• Real-time consumption deduction
• Balance management
• Recharge validation and processing
• Revenue accounting
• Debt recovery mechanisms
• Ensure accurate prepaid billing and settlement processes.

Integration Management

• Configure and support integration between:
• SAP IS-U
• SAP FI-CA
• Smart Meters
• AMI Systems
• MDMS Platforms
• Payment Gateways
• Mobile Wallets
• Banking Systems
• CRM Solutions
• Coordinate with technical teams for interface development and issue resolution.

Smart Metering & Digital Utilities

• Support smart prepaid metering initiatives.
• Work closely with metering vendors and system integrators.
• Participate in AMI and head-end system integration projects.
• Ensure seamless prepaid transactions and meter communications.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Prepare functional specifications and test scenarios.
• Execute:
• Unit Testing
• SIT
• UAT
• Regression Testing
• Support defect management and resolution activities.

Production Support

• Analyze and resolve complex business and system issues.
• Support business users during billing cycles and recharge operations.
• Maintain system stability and SLA adherence.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with utility business teams, project managers, developers, and vendors.
• Conduct workshops, demos, and end-user training sessions.
• Prepare documentation including:
• Functional Specifications
• Configuration Documents
• Process Flows
• User Manuals
• Knowledge Transfer Materials

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• SAP IS-U Certification preferred.
• Certification in Utilities or SAP S/4HANA Utilities is an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

• 6–10 years of SAP Utilities experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in SAP IS-U.
• At least 2+ years of direct experience in SAP IS-U Prepaid Engine implementation or support.
• Experience in at least one full-cycle SAP Utilities implementation project.
• Experience in utility organizations such as:
• Electricity Distribution Companies (DISCOMs)
• Power Utilities
• Water Utilities
• Gas Utilities
