Your work profile

• An experienced SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) Senior Consultant with strong expertise in SAP SD and proven experience in SAP IS-U (Industry Solution for Utilities) environments. Should be responsible for the implementation, support, enhancement, and optimization of customer management, order-to-cash, billing, pricing, and distribution processes within utility organizations.
• Key Responsibilities:
• SAP SD Functional Consulting
• Configure, implement, and support SAP SD processes, Manage end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes including: Customer Master Management, Sales Order Processing, Quotations & Contracts, Pricing & Discounts, Delivery Processing, Billing & Invoicing, Credit Management, Returns & Adjustments, Analyze and optimize sales and customer service processes.

SAP IS-U Integration

• Collaborate with SAP IS-U teams to support utility-specific customer and billing processes.
• Ensure seamless integration between SAP SD and:
• SAP IS-U Customer Service, Billing & Invoicing, FI-CA (Contract Accounts Receivable & Payable), SAP FI/CO, SAP CRM (where applicable)
• Support Meter-to-Cash business processes within utility environments.
• Assist in customer connection, service order, meter installation, and billing-related workflows.

Pricing & Billing Management

• Configure and maintain pricing procedures, condition techniques, and billing processes.
• Support utility-specific billing scenarios and customer invoicing requirements.
• Troubleshoot pricing, billing, and revenue recognition issues.
• Ensure accurate billing integration with Finance and Revenue Management systems.

Project Delivery & Support

• Gather and analyze business requirements.
• Conduct workshops with business users and utility stakeholders.
• Prepare functional specifications and solution design documents.
• Support implementation, enhancement, migration, rollout, and upgrade projects.
• Execute unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and production support activities.

Customer & Revenue Process Optimization

• Improve customer service and revenue collection processes.
• Support service request management and customer lifecycle processes.
• Identify process automation opportunities and recommend best practices.
• Ensure alignment of business processes with utility regulatory requirements.

Reporting & Documentation

• Develop and maintain sales, billing, and customer service reports.
• Support operational and management reporting requirements.
• Prepare configuration documents, process flows, SOPs, and training materials.
• Conduct knowledge transfer and end-user training sessions.

Key skills required

• 6–10 years of SAP consulting experience with strong expertise in SAP SD.
• Hands-on experience in: Sales Order Management, Pricing & Condition Techniques, Billing & Invoicing, Customer Master Data, Credit Management, Output Determination, Order-to-Cash Processes.
• Experience with at least one end-to-end SAP implementation project.
• Strong integration experience with SAP FI/CO, MM, and SAP IS-U.
• Experience working in utility or energy sector projects.
• SAP S/4HANA Sales and Distribution experience.
• Knowledge of SAP IS-U Billing and FI-CA processes.
• Experience with SAP CRM or Customer Experience solutions.
• Understanding of utility customer service and revenue management processes.
• Exposure to Smart Metering and Digital Utility programs.
• Key Competencies: SAP SD Functional Expertise, Utility Domain Knowledge, Customer & Revenue Management, Business Process Analysis, Stakeholder Management, Problem Solving & Analytical Skills, Documentation & Communication Skills, Client-Facing Consulting Experience
• Preferred Industry Experience: Power Distribution Utilities, Power Generation & Transmission Companies, Water Utilities, Gas Distribution Companies, Energy & Utilities Organizations, EPC & Infrastructure Companies, Utility Consulting Organizations
• Graduate degree (Science or Engineering) – B.Sc (I.T), B.Sc ( Computer Science ) , B.E/B.Tech or MBA
