As a Seniro Consultant in our SAP Team, you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -

 

SAP ISU Professional should have:

The SAP IS-U Billing Consultant will be responsible for leading the Billing & Invoicing workstream in an S/4HANA RISE-based IS-U implementation. The candidate will work closely with Metering, Device Management, FICA, FICO, and Customer Service teams to design, configure, test, and deploy end-to-end billing and invoicing processes for utility services (power, water, gas, etc.).

1. SAP IS-U Billing Configuration & Design

  • Lead configuration of IS-U Billing components:
  • Rate Categories & Rate Types
  • Schema, Rates, Operand Creation
  • Billing Master Data
  • Register Relationships & Billing Classes
  • Utility-specific taxation setup
  • Configure Billing & Invoicing for:
  • Metered / Unmetered services
  • TOU (Time-of-Use) billing
  • Seasonal tariffs
  • Slab rates, block rates, and complex tariff structures
  • Support creation of Billing Schemas using:
  • Rate Steps
  • Operand Categories
  • Operand values, constants, formulas
  • Implement Billing Audit & Exception Handling processes.

2. S/4HANA RISE – Billing & Invoicing Capabilities

  • Experience in S/4HANA Utilities data model & Universal Journal awareness.
  • Work with FIORI apps for Billing, Invoicing, and Customer Management.
  • Utilize embedded analytics for:
  • Billing analysis
  • Consumption pattern tracking
  • Invoicing performance
  • Support S/4HANA RISE migration and integration requirements.

3. Integration with Other SAP Modules

Integration with FICA

  • Bill-to-cash configuration
  • Posting of billing documents to Contract Accounts
  • Refunds, write-offs, Payment Plans
  • Dunning integration

Integration with Device Management & Metering

  • Meter reading orders (MRO) integration
  • Meter installation/removal events
  • Billing validation with historical consumption
  • Register-level billing support

Integration with CS / CRM

  • Contracts, Move-in/Move-out
  • Customer master data
  • Billing adjustments and reversals

Integration with FICO

  • Tax calculation & GL posting
  • Revenue account determination
  • Revenue recognition

4. Functional Specification & WRICEF Coordination

  • Prepare functional specs for:
  • Billing interfaces (AMI, MDM, Meter data systems)
  • Custom billing reports
  • Bill print forms (Adobe Forms/Smartforms)
  • Enhancements in Consumption Aggregation or Schema steps
  • Work closely with developers to build and validate WRICEFs.

5. Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Prepare test scripts for Billing, Invoicing, FICA postings, and Metering scenarios.
  • Conduct:
  • Unit Testing
  • SIT (System Integration Testing)
  • UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
  • Validate full Meter-to-Cash cycle during end-to-end testing.
  • Resolve billing exceptions, MDUS issues, and consumption anomalies.

6. Data Migration

  • Support migration of Billing master data:
  • Rate categories
  • Tariffs
  • Device data
  • Contract data
  • Validate consumption history, billing rates, and billing plans post-migration.

7. Cutover & Go-Live Support

  • Participate in cutover planning and execution:
  • Billing schema migration
  • Rate loading
  • Meter read upload strategy
  • Carry-forward of unbilled consumption
  • Provide hypercare support post go-live.

8. Stakeholder & Customer Management

  • Conduct workshops with Metering, Billing, Customer Service, and Finance teams.
  • Work directly with utility regulators and business controllers if required.
  • Provide end-user training and help prepare SOPs.

  • Strong hands-on experience in:
  • Rate Structuring
  • Billing Schemas
  • Operand definitions
  • TOU billing
  • Unmetered billing
  • Complex tariff modeling
  • Excellent knowledge of:
  • Billing Master Data
  • Billing Orders & Invoicing
  • Consumption validation processes

S/4HANA RISE Expertise

  • Fiori Apps for Billing & Customer Management
  • Basic understanding of Universal Journal posting
  • Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM) exposure
  • Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM/Activate methodology (preferred)

Integration Knowledge

  • FICA (strong)
  • Device Management / Meter Reading
  • FICO (tax, GL postings, revenue determination)
  • Customer Service/CRM
  • Knowledge of AMI/Smart Meter integration
  • Experience with SAP CRM/CX
  • Adobe Forms for Bill Print
  • Understanding of Utility regulatory billing rules (e.g., tariff change, slab adjustments)

Desired qualifications

  • Graduate degree (Science or Engineering).
  • Willingness to travel for short- and long-term durations.
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)

 

Location and way of working

  • Base location: Kolkata
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and cloud solutions.
  • Knowledge of other SAP modules such as MM, SD, and PP
