Work Profile
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of large capital mining projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Provide technical expertise in mine planning, mine design, operational optimization, and mine closure strategies.
- Develop and review mining plans in compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and government bodies to facilitate project approvals and execution.
- Manage stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of issues.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and statutory requirements related to mining operations.
- Provide technical guidance and strategic inputs to support business growth and operational excellence.
Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the metals and mining sector.
- Excellent technical and analytical skills in mining and geology.
- Proven ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders, including government departments and regulatory authorities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and work in a dynamic project environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering sustainable and efficient mining solutions.
Education
- Master's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
