Consultant – Oracle Identity & Access Management (IDAM) (Technical)
Experience
4–5 years in Identity & Access Management and Oracle Security technologies
Role Summary
The Oracle IDAM Technical Consultant will be responsible for hands-on implementation, configuration, integration, and support of Oracle Identity and Access Management solutions. The role focuses on technical delivery, troubleshooting, and ensuring secure and scalable IAM implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Implementation
- Install, configure, and customize Oracle IAM components:
- Oracle Identity Governance (OIG)
- Oracle Access Manager (OAM)
- Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) / Oracle Internet Directory (OID)
- Oracle IDCS / OCI IAM
- Configure user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access policies
- Implement SSO, federation, and MFA using SAML, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect
- Configure connectors for target systems and applications
Integration & Development
- Develop and support integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and file-based interfaces
- Perform user, role, and entitlement data migration
- Write and optimize SQL queries and scripts
- Support customization using Java, scripting, and IAM APIs
Operations & Support
- Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, and provisioning issues
- Support environment setup, upgrades, patching, and migrations
- Perform performance tuning and monitoring of IAM components
- Provide L2/L3 production support and incident resolution
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work under guidance of solution architects and senior consultants
- Prepare technical design documents, configuration guides, and runbooks
- Coordinate with infrastructure, network, and application teams
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with Oracle IAM stack:
- OIG, OAM, OUD/OID, IDCS / OCI IAM
- Strong understanding of IAM protocols:
- LDAP, SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect
- Experience with REST APIs, SQL, and scripting (Shell / Python preferred)
- Exposure to Oracle Fusion Cloud or enterprise applications is a plus
IAM Knowledge
- User lifecycle management (Joiner–Mover–Leaver)
- Role-based access control (RBAC)
- Basic understanding of compliance and security standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Oracle IAM / OCI Security certifications (preferred)
- Experience in cloud or hybrid IAM environments
