Manager – Oracle Identity & Access Management (IDAM)
Experience
9+ years in Identity & Access Management, Information Security, and Oracle Security Technologies
Role Summary
The Oracle IDAM Manager will be responsible for managing the design, implementation, and delivery of Oracle Identity and Access Management solutions across enterprise environments. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with team management and client-facing responsibilities, ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable IAM solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Technical Leadership
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Oracle IAM implementations across projects
- Act as solution owner for Oracle IDAM architecture and design
- Guide teams on best practices for IAM implementation and security standards
- Review and approve technical designs, configurations, and integrations
Oracle IDAM Implementation
- Implement and manage:
- Oracle Identity Governance (OIG)
- Oracle Access Manager (OAM)
- Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) / Oracle Internet Directory (OID)
- Oracle IDCS / OCI IAM
- Design and manage user lifecycle (Joiner–Mover–Leaver) processes
- Implement SSO, MFA, and federation using SAML, OAuth2, and OIDC
- Integrate Oracle IAM with Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP, HCM, SCM) and custom applications
Architecture & Integration
- Define IAM integration patterns with:
- Enterprise applications
- Cloud platforms (OCI, Azure AD, AWS)
- Legacy systems and directories
- Support hybrid and multi-cloud IAM architectures
- Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and DR readiness
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Implement access certifications, role mining, and SoD controls
- Support regulatory and audit requirements (SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001, etc.)
- Ensure adherence to security policies and IAM governance frameworks
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Manage and mentor IAM consultants and senior engineers
- Plan resource allocation, task assignments, and delivery schedules
- Conduct client workshops, requirement gathering, and solution walkthroughs
- Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and security teams
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle IAM stack:
- OIG, OAM, OUD/OID, IDCS / OCI IAM
- Good understanding of IAM protocols:
- LDAP, SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect
- Experience in IAM integrations with Oracle Fusion and enterprise applications
- Knowledge of REST APIs, scripting, and automation
Managerial & Consulting Skills
- Experience managing project teams (8–20 members)
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Ability to estimate effort, manage scope, and handle risks
- Experience in Agile / Waterfall delivery models
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Oracle IAM or OCI Security certifications (preferred)
- CISSP / CISM / TOGAF exposure is an advantage
