Senior Consultant – Oracle Identity & Access Management (IDAM)

Experience

6–8 years in Identity & Access Management, Information Security, and Oracle Security solutions

Role Summary

The Oracle IDAM Senior Consultant will be responsible for both functional and technical aspects of Oracle Identity and Access Management implementations. The role involves requirement analysis, solution design, configuration, integrations, and support of Oracle IAM platforms across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

• Engage with business and IT stakeholders to gather IAM requirements
• Perform access and role modeling (RBAC / ABAC)
• Define user lifecycle processes (Joiner–Mover–Leaver)
• Conduct fit-gap analysis and document functional specifications
• Support access certification, SoD, and compliance use cases
• Assist in UAT, go-live, and post-production support

Technical Responsibilities

• Implement and configure Oracle IAM components:
• Oracle Identity Governance (OIG)
• Oracle Access Manager (OAM)
• Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) / Oracle Internet Directory (OID)
• Oracle IDCS / OCI IAM
• Configure SSO, federation, MFA using SAML, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect
• Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and file-based interfaces
• Perform user, role, and entitlement data migration
• Troubleshoot IAM issues related to authentication, authorization, and provisioning

Delivery & Collaboration

• Work closely with architects and managers on solution design
• Prepare technical and functional documentation
• Mentor junior consultants and review deliverables
• Follow security best practices and organizational standards

Required Skills & Experience

Functional Skills

• Strong understanding of IAM concepts and governance models
• Experience in access provisioning, role lifecycle, and approvals
• Knowledge of compliance requirements (SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001)
• Experience working with enterprise application security

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with Oracle IAM stack:
• OIG, OAM, OUD/OID, IDCS / OCI IAM
• Strong knowledge of LDAP, SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect
• Experience with SQL, scripting, and REST APIs
• Exposure to Oracle Fusion Cloud or other enterprise applications

Consulting Skills

• Client-facing experience with good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
• Experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery models

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Oracle IAM / OCI Security certifications (preferred)
• Exposure to cloud security and Zero Trust principles
