Job Title: Senior Consultant – Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) DBA
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS DBA Consultant to install, administer, maintain, and support Oracle E-Business Suite environments. The consultant will be responsible for database administration, application administration, performance tuning, upgrades, patching, and ensuring high availability and security of Oracle EBS systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite (R12/R12.2) environments
- Administer Oracle Databases (11g / 12c / 19c) supporting EBS
- Perform EBS administration tasks including:
- Patching (AD, TXK, Online Patching – ADOP)
- Cloning (Production, Test, Development)
- Environment refreshes
- Manage EBS application tier and database tier
- Monitor system performance and conduct tuning for:
- Database
- Concurrent Managers
- Workflow Mailer
- Forms and Web services
- Perform backup and recovery using RMAN
- Apply security best practices:
- User access control
- Password policies
- SSL certificates
- Support EBS upgrades, migrations, and technology stack upgrades
- Work with functional and technical teams to troubleshoot issues
- Manage capacity planning, storage, and system availability
- Document procedures and provide operational support
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 5–8+ years of hands-on experience as Oracle EBS DBA
- Strong experience with:
- Oracle EBS R12 / R12.2
- Oracle Database administration
- Expertise in:
- ADOP online patching
- EBS cloning
- Performance tuning
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
- Experience with shell scripting and automation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle DBA / EBS certification
- Experience with:
- RAC
- Data Guard
- Load Balancers
- Exposure to cloud platforms (OCI / AWS / Azure)
- Experience with EBS on cloud infrastructure
- Knowledge of Oracle Fusion middleware components
