Your work profile
As a Deputy Manager/ Assistant Manager in our Monitoring & Evaluation team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. You’ll:
- Gain a strong understanding of each Client’s business processes and procedures
- Design and implement MEL strategies across diverse sectors
- Independently perform programmatic, scheme/project-based financial and documentary analyses, both qualitative and quantitative, which will be delivered to clients and other parties.
- Work with large datasets to generate insights
- Explore, build, leverage AI-based tools/ platforms for automation and efficient delivery of project
- Engage in high-level stakeholder interactions with government, UN bodies, and development partners
- Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and thought leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced delivery environment
- Interact with clients and other external sources to obtain relevant information and provide updates on engagement status
- Guide team members to perform secondary/desk research using various online platforms and publicly available information.
- Cultivate an analytical mind set to identify gaps and trends in the data and documents reviewed
- Work efficiently and effectively with minimum supervisor and a strong attention to detail
- Participate in team and client meetings and travel to client locations as required both within the country as well as overseas
- Organize observations and findings in a structured manner and present them in client deliverables.
Desired qualifications
- Minimum experience of 3 years, preferably in social-sector consulting/ monitoring&evaluation space.
- Master’s degree in business management/administration, data sciences, finance, economics, social work, public policy, international relations or related disciplines from a Tier-1 institute/university
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong report writing and reviewing skills, with an appropriate focus on attention to detail, conciseness and risk management
- Strong understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning frameworks used globally
- Proven ability to work with India’s government structures or prior experience working with government agencies and UN bodies
- Experience in high-level stakeholder engagement
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong data handling, strategy design, problem-solving skills, and teamwork
- Excellent academic track record
- Strong analytical bent of mind and structured problem-solving approach
- Adaptability to a dynamic environment often accompanied by shifting priorities and stringent deadlines
Location and way of working
- Base location: Delhi/Mumbai/Kolkata/Bengaluru
- This profile involves occasional travelling to client location/field work as per project requirement
