Oracle Database & Linux Administrator

Join our dynamic team as an Oracle Database & Linux Administrator, where you'll be responsible for managing mission-critical database systems and ensuring secure, high-performing Linux environments. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in Oracle technologies and Linux system administration.

Responsibilities

·        Minimum 7+ Yrs. relevant experience on Oracle 12c/18c/19c Database Administration

·        Upgrade of Oracle Databases from 19c to 21c

·        Configuring and Administering Oracle 12c, 18c, and 19c

·        Experience in Backup and Recovery Strategies planning using RMAN

·        Extensive experience in Database patching

·        Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM13c)

·        Experience with Data Guard setup and management

·        Experience with RMAN, OEM, and Shell scripting

·        Experience in Migrating the database between different Operating Systems

·        Experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)

·        Experience with Oracle GoldenGate for replication and data integration

·        Operating System hardening and patching as per security guidelines

·        Automation scripting using Shell or Python

·        Managing user access and secure configurations

·        Install, configure, and manage RHEL systems and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization environments.

·        Administer KVM virtualization, Puppet automation, and kernel-level tuning.

·        Implement system patching, STIG compliance, and release/version control.

·        Monitor performance, handle incident response, and ensure uptime and data integrity.

·        Automate tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or equivalent configuration management tools.

·        Maintain backup and recovery solutions and ensure disaster recovery readiness.

·        Conduct system audits and enforce DoD security requirements.

·        Maintain accurate and comprehensive configuration documentation.

Required Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

·        7+ years of experience in Oracle DBA and Linux system administration

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·        Excellent communication and documentation abilities
