About the Role:

Seeking an experienced SAM professional (10+ years) to lead enterprise SAM programs, drive cost optimization, ensure license compliance, and advise clients on maximizing software investments. This role combines strategic advisory, delivery leadership, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Advisory & Strategy: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, defining SAM strategies, governance models, and target operating frameworks
• Engagement Delivery: Lead end-to-end SAM consulting engagements including assessments, transformations, and managed services
• License Compliance: Manage complex audits for publisher like Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, IBM, etc. and guide clients through compliance risk mitigation. Identify savings opportunities through license rationalization, contract optimization, and cloud transformation initiatives
• Tool Enablement: Lead design and implementation of SAM tools (Flexera, Snow, ServiceNow,etc) and integrate with enterprise ecosystems
• Analytics & Insights: Deliver executive-level dashboards and actionable insights on software usage, compliance, and spend
• Business Development: Support proposals, client pitches, and solutioning to grow the SAM practice
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior consultants and contribute to capability building and thought leadership

Skills

• 10+ years of experience in SAM, ITAM, or licensing within a consulting/advisory environment
• Deep expertise in enterprise licensing models (Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, IBM)
• Proven experience in audit management, compliance, and cost optimization engagements
• Strong experience with SAM platforms (Flexera, Snow, ServiceNow)
• Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders and C-level executives
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Understanding of cloud licensing and FinOps principles (Azure, AWS, GCP)
