The Enabling Areas – Information Technology team is responsible for building & maintaining different applications for Deloitte South Asia that focuses on providing employee experience.

Your work profile

As a Cloud Engineer- Security & FinOps Executive, you will support initiatives focused on cloud cost optimization and cloud security operations across the firm’s cloud platforms. You will work closely with engineering, security, and business teams to help ensure a secure, compliant, and cost-efficient cloud environment, with increasing exposure to automation and analytics.

Cloud Security & Support

· Assist in implementing and monitoring cloud security controls aligned with standards like ISO 27001 and CIS Benchmarks.

· Support identity and access management activities (user roles, permissions, access reviews).

· Help monitor security alerts, vulnerabilities, and compliance dashboards.

· Collaborate with senior security team members on incident response and remediation tasks.

Cloud Cost Management & Optimization (FinOps)

· Assist in analyzing cloud usage and cost data across platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

· Support identification of cost-saving opportunities including rightsizing, idle resource cleanup, and basic optimization.

· Prepare periodic reports on cloud spend, usage trends, and variances.

· Collaborate with engineering teams to track and improve cost efficiency.

Cloud Financial Governance & Budget Tracking

· Support cloud budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.

· Assist in implementing tagging strategies for cost allocation and visibility.

· Contribute to showback/chargeback reporting for business units.

· Ensure timely and accurate reporting of cloud financial metrics.

FinOps & Security Operations Support

· Support automation initiatives for cloud cost tracking and security monitoring.

· Work with tools such as AWS and Azure Cost Management, or native cloud dashboards.

· Assist in gathering requirements and testing solutions (UAT) for cloud governance tools.

· Support tracking of savings achieved and improvements in security posture.

Governance, Compliance & Audit Support

· Assist in ensuring adherence to cloud governance and security policies.

· Maintain documentation for cloud cost and security processes.

· Support audit activities by providing required data and reports.

· Help track compliance metrics and remediation actions.

Stakeholder Collaboration

· Work closely with Engineering, Security, and Business teams on day-to-day activities.

· Provide basic insights on cloud cost and security metrics to stakeholders.

· Support preparation of presentations and reports for internal reviews.

· Continuously learn and build expertise in cloud, FinOps, and security domains.

Key skills required

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.

• 2–4 years of experience in Cloud Operations, FinOps, or Cybersecurity support roles.

• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and cost/security concepts.

• Exposure to scripting is a plus.

• Certification in AWS/Azure/GCP is preferred.
