Your work profile

·      Lead client-facing diagnostic engagements across surface mining operations to identify value levers related to HEMM efficiency, operational stability, and throughput improvement.

·      Conduct structured analyses of the end-to-end mining value chain (drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, crushing) using operational, maintenance, and digital system data.

·      Identify and quantify performance losses related to equipment availability, utilization, cycle time variability, quality losses (dilution, re-handling), and execution gaps.

·      Design and support implementation of HEMM productivity improvement programs, including fleet optimization, dispatch logic tuning, and shift-level performance management.

·      Leverage digital enablers such as fleet management systems, dispatch data, condition monitoring, and BI dashboards to support data-driven recommendations.

·      Translate analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for mine leadership and corporate stakeholders.

·      Support development of client-ready deliverables including impact assessments, transformation roadmaps, KPI frameworks, and executive presentations.

·      Work closely with client operations, maintenance, planning, and digital teams to drive change adoption and sustainability.

·      Contribute to internal knowledge assets, benchmarks, and best-practice playbooks related to mining productivity and digital operations.

Key skills required

·      3–5 years of experience in mining operations, O&M, or consulting, with strong exposure to surface mining environments.

·      Solid understanding of HEMM operations (shovels, loaders, dumpers, drills, dozers) and their interaction with production and maintenance processes.

·      Demonstrated experience in throughput improvement, operational efficiency, or quality loss reduction, ideally in a structured improvement initiative.

·      Working knowledge of digital mining systems such as FMS, dispatch systems, CMMS, production reporting tools, or condition monitoring platforms.

·      Strong analytical capability, with experience using Excel, dashboards, or BI tools to derive insights from large operational datasets.

·      Structured problem-solving mindset and ability to break down complex operational problems into solvable components.

·      Strong communication skills with the ability to influence site teams and present insights to senior stakeholders.

·      Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced consulting environments with frequent site interaction
