Job Description

Position: Consultant

Role: Power Utilities (Program Management & Commercial)

• Lead and support end-to-end project execution for large-scale utility initiatives such as smart metering rollouts, loss reduction programs, and network strengthening projects
• Drive program governance frameworks, including project planning, milestone tracking, risk identification, and resolution of execution bottlenecks
• Oversee budget planning, cost monitoring, and financial control mechanisms for utility projects, ensuring alignment with approved business cases
• Support design and implementation of loss reduction strategies, including theft detection frameworks, enforcement planning, and monitoring mechanisms
• Utilize data from multiple sources to generate insights for operational improvement, anomaly detection, and performance tracking
• Contribute to metering, billing, and collection (MBC) transformation initiatives, including KPI definition, performance tracking, and identification of revenue leakage areas
• Support development of performance measurement frameworks (PMF) and dashboards to monitor division/circle-level operational metrics
• Assist in energy accounting and feeder-level analysis to strengthen visibility on input vs. billed energy and improve commercial efficiency
• Assist in benchmarking performance across circles/zones and highlighting underperforming areas with improvement recommendations
• Provide analytical inputs for operational planning, including network strengthening and asset utilization improvements
• Assist in tendering processes for large infrastructure and metering projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory guidelines and competitive procurement practices
• Contribute to vendor and contractor performance monitoring, including compliance with technical and commercial terms
• Provide inputs for regulatory and policy-related assignments, including interpretation of guidelines, support in scheme implementation (e.g., RDSS, smart grid initiatives), and preparation of analytical notes
• Assist in developing presentations, reports, and discussion materials for senior stakeholders, government authorities, and regulatory bodies
