Your work profile

The Java Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot.
This role involves building RESTful APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting application issues, and ensuring high-quality software delivery in an Agile development environment.

Key skills required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in software development with strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
• Proven experience in developing and deploying RESTful APIs using Spring MVC and related frameworks
• Strong understanding of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring JPA, OAuth2, and Microservices development
• Good understanding of PostgreSQL or other relational databases
• Understanding of Kubernetes and containerization technologies is an added advantage
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and Agile SCRUM methodologies
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively within a team environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues efficiently in the codebase
• Proactive attitude, logical thinking, accountability, and strong team-player mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
• Understanding of cloud-based application deployment environments
• Experience working in Agile software development teams
• Familiarity with secure application development and authentication frameworks such as OAuth2
