Overview:
We are looking for a Business Analyst with strong experience in Regulatory Reporting and Risk Systems to drive the implementation of RBI Risk-Based Supervision (RBS) Tranche Reporting framework.
The role involves working closely with Risk, Finance, Treasury, and Technology teams to deliver accurate, automated, and compliant regulatory reporting solutions aligned with RBI guidelines and Basel norms.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Regulatory Requirement Analysis
a. Analyze RBI RBS (SPARC) guidelines and Data Capture Templates (Tranches)
b. Translate regulatory requirements into Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Specifications (FRD)
2. Data Mapping & Lineage
a. Perform detailed data mapping across systems:
i. Core Banking System (CBS)
ii. Treasury systems
iii. Risk / ALM systems
iv. ERP Systems
v. Other Bank’s internal systems
b. Build field-level mapping and data lineage documentation
3. Implementation & Configuration
a. Work with IT/vendors to:
i. Configure RBS tranche templates
ii. Define calculation logic (RWA, CAR, IRRBB, LCR, NSFR)
iii. Implement validation and reconciliation rules
b. Support end-to-end system implementation lifecycle
4. Data Quality & Reconciliation
a. Define and implement:
i. Data validation rules
ii. Reconciliation frameworks (GL vs Regulatory reports)
b. Identify and resolve data gaps and inconsistencies
5. Testing & UAT
a. Design and execute UAT test cases
b. Validate:
i. Regulatory calculations
ii. Data completeness and accuracy
c. Support parallel runs and regulatory submission testing
6. Stakeholder Management
a. Collaborate with:
i. Risk (Credit / Market / Liquidity)
ii. Finance / Regulatory reporting teams
iii. Technology and vendors
b. Act as a bridge between business and IT teams
7. Regulatory Compliance & Audit Support
a. Ensure compliance with:
i. RBI RBS guidelines
ii. Basel II / III frameworks
b. Support:
i. Internal audits
ii. RBI inspection queries
Required Skills & Qualifications
1. Functional Expertise
a. Strong understanding of:
i. RBI RBS / SPARC reporting
ii. Basel II / III (RWA, CAR, LCR, NSFR)
iii. ALM / IRRBB / Liquidity risk
b. Knowledge of Treasury products (FX accounting) is a strong plus
2. Technical Skills
a. Strong data analysis skills (SQL preferred)
b. Understanding of:
i. Data warehousing / ETL
ii. Regulatory reporting systems
3. Business Analysis Skills
a. BRD / FRD documentation
b. Data mapping and gap analysis
c. UAT planning and execution
d. Strong stakeholder communication
4. Preferred Experience
a. Prior experience in:
i. Regulatory reporting implementation (RBS / Basel)
b. Banking / Financial Services domain (strong plus)
5. Key Success Metrics
a. Timely delivery of RBS tranche implementation
b. Accuracy and completeness of regulatory submissions
c. Reduction in manual intervention via automation
d. Successful audit and regulatory validation
Desired Qualifications
- Education: MBA / PGDM (Desirous), Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for effective internal and external interaction
