Consultant – SAP MM (Materials Management)

Experience

3 to 5 years of relevant SAP MM experience

Role Summary

The SAP MM Consultant will independently handle SAP MM configuration and support activities, participate in implementation and roll‑out projects, and work closely with business users and technical teams to deliver stable and efficient Procure‑to‑Pay solutions.

Key Responsibilities

SAP MM Functional

• Configure and support SAP MM processes including:
• Procurement (PR, RFQ, PO, Scheduling Agreements)
• Inventory Management
• Material Master & Vendor Master
• Pricing Procedures and Release Strategies
• Valuation & Account Determination
• Participate in blueprint and design discussions.
• Prepare functional specifications and work with ABAP teams.
• Execute unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support.
• Support data migration validation, cutover, and go‑live activities.

Integration & Process

• Handle integration with:
• SAP FI (GR/IR, automatic account postings)
• SAP SD (third‑party / intercompany processes)
• SAP PP (basic MRP and production integration)
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA MM and Fiori apps is preferred.

Support & Delivery

• Resolve production issues and change requests in AMS/support projects.
• Ensure SLA compliance and timely issue resolution.
• Suggest process improvements and system optimizations.

Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory

• 3–5 years of hands-on SAP MM configuration experience
• Strong understanding of Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) cycle
• Experience in at least one SAP implementation or roll‑out
• Good functional documentation and communication skills

Preferred / Good to Have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA MM
• SAP MM Certification
• Knowledge of IDocs, interfaces, and reports
• Exposure to Ariba / SRM is an advantage
