The team
 

The M&A People Due Diligence team is a part of the Deal Transformation and Post Merger Integration (DT-PMI) International team and provides advisory & support services to Deloitte members firms’ in performing a diverse nature of people diligence engagements.

The team has significant experience in performing detailed HR diligence covering areas of compensation analysis, head count analysis, organizational structures, benefits and policies assessment, within the purview of Buy-side, Sell-side, synergy and carve-out assessment, stand-alone performance improvements. The businesses under consideration are of differing sizes (private and public international entities) and operate at various levels of complexities across a range of industries.

The team works as an extension of our Deloitte member firms’ M&A People team and provide dedicated support throughout the project lifecycle. Working on international assignments involving cross-border and cross-service line teams allows you to build your networks across the vast Global Deloitte network and develop understanding of the global industry standards.


 

Your work profile

 

As an Deputy manager in our Transaction Services – M&A People Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -

 

A career within Operational Due Diligence will provide a wide & valuable experience in an exciting and dynamic working & learning environment. The role will position you to working as a part of a larger Deloitte Operations team and will include the following activities:

  • Assist in conducting comprehensive HR due diligence for potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships. Collect, review, and analyze HR data, including employee contracts, benefits, compensation, and organizational structure.
  • Identify potential HR-related risks and opportunities in target companies.
  • Review processes in place to manage compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies.
  • Identify and assess potential legal and financial liabilities related to HR.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks including commenting on Sale and Purchase Agreement protections.
  • Report findings and recommendations clearly and accurately, both verbally and in formal written reports.
  • Identify opportunities to improve due diligence processes and tools.
  • Participate in training and development programs as required.
  • As a manager you are expected to manage junior team members, including training, time management and feedback

 

 

Desired qualifications

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in HR/benefits, with at least 3 years in a M&A due diligence or similar role.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Location and way of working

  • Base location: Mumbai
  • This profile does not involve extensive travel for work.
