The team

Data Technology and Analytics uses innovative tools to analyze vast amounts of data in order to proactively or reactively identify opportunities for revenue enhancement, cost optimization, risk mitigation and strategic advice for our clients. The group specializes in electronic data sourcing, optimization, analysis, interpretation, prediction and modelling.

 

 

We work as an extension of our Deloitte member firms’ analytics practices and provide dedicated support throughout the project lifecycle. Working on international assignments involving cross-border and cross-service line teams allows you to build your networks across the vast Global Deloitte network.

As a Deputy Manager in our Data Technology and Analytics Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations.

 

The FA Assets DevHub is responsible for delivery of complex analytics solutions to help FA globally achieve clear differentiation and sustainable competitive advantage through improved decision making.  

 

We are looking for ambitious analytics professionals who have a real passion for analytics and delivering valuable insights, and who think differently about problems and solutions.

 

You will have the opportunity to collaborate across teams within FA as well as the wider firm. Designing and delivering data science solutions that embrace people, process, data and technology to realize the strategic outcome. 

 

As a Deputy Manager you will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of projects where you will:

·      Leading, defining, designing, and developing data science solutions

·      Support the member firm and/or the client through the model development process

·      Lead and/or work as part of a team to design, develop and test models taking into consideration various scenarios and sensitivities the model will be exposed to, in order to enhance our diverse range of clients’ analysis and decision-making process

·      Be required to have strong business diagnostic skills and the ability to apply a logical and analytical approach to problem solving

 

Key skills required: 

In order to be considered for the role, your competencies will cover the broad scope of business modelling services, leveraging your professional background and skills such as:

  • Bachelors/ Master’s degree from a reputed institute in Computer Science, Information Systems (STEM) or similar quantitative discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of overall professional IT experience
  • Qualification in Data Science a plus, but must illustrate in-depth hands-on knowledge
  • Must have:
  • Strong proficiency in hands-on AI work with either Python / R / SAS / SPSS
  • Expertise in machine learning frameworks and tools, with a focus on practical implementation.
  • Active contribution to the development and implementation of Machine Learning and Deep Learning models and techniques
  • Thorough understanding and experience with statistical parameters and evaluation metrics of AI models
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Deep Learning modelling/Neural Network techniques
  • Data Pre-processing / Data Mining & Management / Predictive Analytics / Machine Learning / Optimization / Business Rules Engines / Risk Scoring & Identification
  • MS Fabric / VS Code / Databricks / SQL / Azure Data Factory / Azure AI Studio
  • Require hands-on experience with Generative AI models or LLMs and Prompt Engineering. This extends but not limited to Retrieval Augment Generation (RAG), Summarization, Data Analysis, AI Agents etc.
  • Good to have:
  • Experience with OpenAI based frameworks
  • Experience with source control (git) and Azure DevOps
  • Experience with building chatbots
  • Good understanding of the ETL framework and ability to build efficient ETL dataflows using ADF, MS SSIS, or Python
  • Dataiku / DataRobot / AWS Sagemaker
  • Tableau / Power BI
  • Experience with MLFlow and other MLOps pipeline
  • Knowledge of existing and upcoming platforms and vendors in the market with and leveraging them creatively into wider business solutions
  • This role will also leverage additional skills such as:
  • Ability to create advanced analytical models that are fit for purpose and scalable, to identify insightful trends and patterns from the data
  • Understanding existing and upcoming AI frameworks and realizing them to appropriate assets/solutions
  • Experience in structuring, presenting, and communicating your work results
  • Ability to present complex business and technology problems and solutions in a simple form to address the level of audience from C-level, executive sponsors, and business owners to engineering and operational teams
  • Strong appetite for innovation and emerging technologies
  • Provide guidance on best practices, project execution, and professional development.
  • Demonstrate ability to think strategically about business, create technical solutions with end users in mind, motivate and mobilize resources, as well as deliver results
  • Flexibility in terms of working hours and working on multiple tools and technologies
