In our BPS Tax team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. Your role will include:
Position Title: Intercompany Finance Specialist
Department: Finance & Accounts / Controllership
Location: Mumbai
Reports To: Head of Finance
Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Intercompany Finance Specialist to manage and streamline intercompany accounting processes. This role will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in intercompany transactions, reconciliations, transfer pricing compliance, eliminations, and supporting consolidation activities. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and experience in working with global entities within a group structure.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform monthly/quarterly intercompany reconciliations across group entities.
· Investigate and resolve mismatches in intercompany balances and transactions.
· Ensure timely settlement of intercompany accounts.
· Ensure intercompany transactions comply with global/local transfer pricing policies.
· Maintain proper documentation and coordinate with tax teams for TP audits.
· Work with business units to implement correct pricing structures for intercompany transactions.
· Support group consolidation by ensuring accurate elimination of intercompany balances.
· Assist in preparing consolidation entries for management and statutory reporting.
· Work closely with the consolidation team to ensure accuracy of group financials.
· Develop and implement standard processes for intercompany accounting.
· Strengthen internal controls over intercompany transactions and reporting.
· Partner with finance, tax, and operations teams globally to align processes.
· Prepare monthly/quarterly intercompany reports for management.
· Provide variance analysis and commentary on intercompany balances.
· Support statutory audit and internal audit requirements related to intercompany accounts.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA preferred).
· 3–6 years of relevant experience in intercompany accounting, reconciliation, or group consolidation.
· Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/Ind AS/US GAAP) related to intercompany transactions and eliminations.
· Experience in transfer pricing compliance and intercompany agreements.
· Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, or similar).
· Advanced Excel and strong analytical/reporting skills.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (across geographies).
Preferred Attributes:
· Experience in a multinational organization or shared service environment.
· Exposure to automation tools (e.g. Power BI, Alteryx) for reconciliation and reporting.
· Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
