The team

 

The Enabling Area – Information Technology team is responsible for building & maintaining different applications for Deloitte South Asia that focuses on providing employee experience.

 

Your work profile

 

The Business Analyst (BA) will act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the IT team to ensure business requirements are accurately captured, analyzed, and translated into technical solutions. The role focuses on improving processes, enabling system enhancements, and supporting successful delivery of IT initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

Business & Requirement Analysis

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and functional needs.
  • Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements.
  • Create and maintain key artifacts such as BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and use cases.
  • Ensure requirements are clear, complete, and aligned with business goals.

 

IT & Solution Collaboration

  • Act as a bridge between business users and IT development teams.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Support solution design discussions and ensure proposed solutions meet business needs.
  • Work closely with developers, testers, and architects throughout the SDLC.

 

Process Improvement

  • Analyze current (“as‑is”) processes and define future (“to‑be”) state processes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and standardization.
  • Support implementation of system enhancements and new features.

 

Testing & Implementation Support

  • Support development of test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in system testing, UAT planning, and defect triage.
  • Validate delivered solutions against approved requirements.
  • Support deployment activities and post‑implementation review.

 

Stakeholder & Change Management

  • Coordinate with business, IT, and cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment.
  • Facilitate requirement walkthroughs, workshops, and review sessions.
  • Assist in change management and communication related to system changes.

 

Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain requirement traceability from initiation through delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, standards, and governance models.
  • Support audit, reporting, and documentation needs as required.

 

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong experience in business requirements gathering and analysis.
  • Working knowledge of SDLC, Agile, or Hybrid delivery models.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Excel, or equivalent.
  • Ability to analyze data, workflows, and system interactions.

 

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Attention to detail with a results‑oriented mindset.

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, CA or related field.
  • 3–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment (adjustable by level).
  • Prior experience in enterprise systems, automation, or digital transformation initiatives is preferred.

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies.
  • Domain knowledge in areas such as Sales, Finance, CRM, or Incentive Compensation.
  • CBAP, CCBA, or Agile BA certification.
