The Team

 Deloitte India Payroll Team who thrives on accuracy and efficiency, a payroll expert who ensures timely and compliant salary processing. You’ll be the guardian of employee compensation data, bridging HR, finance, and operations smoothly. You will be working on payroll processing activities, compliance, and vendor coordination for a Business Unit. This role is part of Deloitte South-East Asia HR & Finance shared services and reports to the Payroll Manager. 

 

Your Work Profile

  • The Executive – Payroll will be responsible for managing employee reimbursements, validating payroll inputs and handling employee payroll-related queries. The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of payroll processes, and understanding of income tax and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Approve employee vehicle details updated in the system by an employee.
  • Review and approve vehicle reimbursement claims as per limits defined in the employee’s CTC structure.
  • Verify and approve telephone and internet reimbursement claims in line with policy limits.
  • Process and approve Leave Travel Allowance (LTA) claims and calculate taxability as per applicable Income Tax rules.
  • Respond to employee queries related to reimbursement claims and payroll matters in a timely manner.
  • Verify tax investment proofs submitted by employees for accurate TDS computation.
  • Support monthly payroll processing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Send reminders and follow up with employees for pending submissions (investment proofs, reimbursement documents, declarations, etc.).
  • Assist in ensuring adherence to company policies and statutory regulations related to payroll.
  • Handle other day-to-day payroll related operational activities as required.

 

Key Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in payroll operations or finance-related role preferred.
  • Experience in handling reimbursements and tax proof verification will be an added advantage.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of payroll processing and statutory compliance.
  • Good analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Good communication skills to handle employee queries effectively.
  • Ability to manage timelines and handle multiple tasks.
