Job Title: Executive | Corporate Intelligence Service | Mumbai | Forensic & Financial Crime
Background: The Corporate Intelligence Services (CIS) vertical is an integral part of the Forensic and Dispute Services Practice. The CIS vertical supports clients with qualitative inputs to assess the integrity and background of entities that the client may wish to transact with or enter into a business relationship. The vertical also assists clients to monitor the risks associated with their investments or financial exposure to entities with which they have entered into business relationships.
Role and Responsibilities:
The role in the Corporate Intelligence Services vertical of the Forensic Services practice would be to support the project management team on execution of client engagements. The responsibilities are delineated below:
· Work in a team to conduct primary research to maintain agreed upon SLA with multiple clients. The reports submitted may include research of relevant databases to obtain information on financials, credit history, litigation, shareholding data and details of ownership pattern of entities defined as per the work requirement.
· To conduct direct and lateral searches on relevant databases, watch lists, and media at large to identify adverse information such as negative coverage, credit defaults, litigation, political exposure, conflict of interests etc. defined as per the work requirement.
· Gather information on financials, credit history, litigation, shareholding data and details of ownership pattern of entities as well as identifying shell companies, offshore accounts and other discrepancies
· To analyze the collected information with a view to reputational, financial and integrity risk (sanctions, corruption, bribery, money laundering, terrorism financing, regulatory violations, etc.)
· Review of financial information and analysis of key ratios of the Company for the latest 2/3 financial years and presenting the same in CIS reports in prescribed format.
· Strong report drafting skills which include analyzing, corroborating and removing inconsistencies on information gathered across varied sources, including, appropriate citations. Give verbal or written updates to seniors or client
· Help Manager / Director / Partner in undertaking internal conflict check procedures on client as well as targets
· Help reviewer / reporting manager with internal administrative procedures and other related duties that may arise from time to time to meet the ongoing needs of the firm.
Qualifications / Skills
· Flair in written and spoken English language and making formal business reports / presentations. Ability to analyze and summarize complex information in a unique or in own words is a mandatory skill set.
· Ideal candidates should possess a Graduate / Post Graduate / Management degree with a specialization in Finance / Commerce / Economics. Candidates with post graduate degrees in other disciplines including liberal arts can also apply provided they are found suitable to the role during the interview process
· The ability to work in a highly challenging, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
· Strong research skills, including online search tools
· Strong writing and proofreading skills – prior experience in research/editorial roles is an advantage.

· Be a team player with a high level of initiative and proactive approach to work

· Familiarity with databases like- such as EMIS, Factiva, DJRC, Nexis, RoC would be ideal.
· Sound knowledge / skills (above average) in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential.
