The team

Business Modelling involves building and reviewing primarily excel based models to support our clients in decision making. Our services are required for various purposes including mergers & acquisitions, restructuring and infrastructure bidding. This involves implementing macros and working on visualization software tools to enhance the outputs.

 

We work as an extension of our Deloitte member firms’ business modelling practices and provide dedicated support throughout the project lifecycle. Working on international assignments involving cross-border and cross-service line teams allows you to build your networks across the vast Global Deloitte network.

Your work profile

As a Manager in our Modelling & Insights ICC Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -

 

Working in our BM practice will position you to support on all aspects of business modelling to enable better decision making. The kind of engagements we typically get involved in include developing models and deriving analysis to support:

 

  • Mergers & acquisitions
  • Private equity buy-side and sell-side
  • Strategy business planning
  • Feasibility studies
  • Working capital & cash flow management
  • Corporate & financial restructuring
  • Carve out & divestment
  • Post-merger integration
  • Cost reduction programs

 

As a Manager you will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of projects where you will:

 

  • Support the member firm and/or the client through the model development process
  • Work as part of a team to design, develop and test models taking into consideration various scenarios and sensitivities the model will be exposed to, in order to enhance our diverse range of clients’ analysis and decision-making process
  • Work towards tight deadlines, adding value to complex & dynamic models, high profile and sensitive projects
  • Be expected to bring more to the table and be innovative in developing client solutions as well as driving the BMG strategy forward
  • Be required to have strong business diagnostic skills and the ability to apply a logical and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Manage >=2 engagements at a time, acting in a senior capacity while upskilling and guiding junior members of the team to enable operations in these engagements and successfully delivering them.

 

Key skills required: 

In order to be considered for the role, your competencies will cover the broad scope of business modelling services, leveraging your professional background and skills such as:

  • CA / CFA (International)
  • 3 5 to 7  years of experience
  • Strong academic achievements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Interest in working in a challenging and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work with staff at different levels of the organization
  • Ability to upskill, manage and supervise junior staff members
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proactive and an inquisitive mind, with a passion to provide world class client service
  • Working knowledge of model build, reviews, VBA coding, SQL and/or Tableau is an asset
