Your work profile
As a Manager in our Global Business Tax Team – Finance Controller you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations
Areas of responsibility
• Support in formulating financial policy, procedures and systems
• End-to-end book keeping and finalisation of accounts including coordination with all departments in closing books monthly / quarterly / annually duly adhering to all applicable laws and guidelines.
• Participation in strategic actions and formulation of actions for business and growth
• Internal audit and review for cost reduction actions
•Support in evaluation of new projects and approvals, including reviews as well as identification of cost overruns and cost reduction potential
• Relationship management with:
>Auditors
> Regulatory authorities
•Engaging in the activity of Budget v/s Actual Variances and reasons
•Board Meeting datapack preparation.
Authority available
•To take final decisions on matter where authority is delegated by CEO/CFO in writing
• Closing of issues with auditors and other regulatory agencies to protect and safeguard the interests of the Company.
Transactional authority:
•Allocation of personnel resources and prioritisation within own area
•Inland travel of members of FA team
•Nominating members of FA team to external training programmes and the like
•Running expenses of FA department
Interdependencies
•To take advice from CFO and keep CFO informed of all important developments, in time, with special reference to Financial, Cost and profitability and allied aspects
• Auditors / Board of Directors, as needed from time to time
• Very close working with the Treasury and Management Accounting team for supporting CFO / CEO and the Company
Main deliverables
• Ensure full support and actions for company’s revenue targets, growth plans and cash flow
• Clean and timely finalisation of monthly , quarterly & annual accounts
•Compliance with all legal aspects of Co-Law and other Reg and Stats Requirements
•Support project execution through monitoring and resources
•Follow-up and receipt of Tax refunds in time
•Generate a report of Budget v\s actual line items
Budget responsibility
• For line items within own area
•Co responsible with CFO for the Company’s budget
Governance aspects
• Controller / owner for ethics and compliances for all financial and allied matters together with T&MA Head
•Credible and trustworthy information to management as well to all stakeholders
Functional competencies
•Excellent knowledge of financial accounting, Accounting Standards (IFRS) and allied areas such as Company law, compliance matters etc

· This profile involves frequent travelling to client locations.
