Your work profile:

The Oracle EBS Technical Manager is responsible for leading the technical strategy, architecture, development, integration, and support of Oracle E-Business Suite applications. This role oversees a team of technical developers and ensures that all Oracle EBS customizations, extensions, and integrations meet business needs, align with best practices, and adhere to performance and security standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Technical Leadership & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Oracle EBS technical resources (developers, DBAs, integration specialists, and analysts).
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of technical solutions within Oracle EBS.
  • Define and enforce technical standards, coding practices, and documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate with functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

System Architecture & Integration

  • Design and manage integrations between Oracle EBS and other enterprise applications (e.g., third-party systems, Oracle Cloud, middleware tools).
  • Evaluate and recommend technical solutions for scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Oversee database architecture, performance tuning, and system optimization activities.
  • Ensure alignment of technical architecture with enterprise IT and security policies.

Development & Customization

  • Manage the development and maintenance of customizations, reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions (RICE components).
  • Oversee design and implementation using Oracle development tools (Forms, Reports, Workflow, BI Publisher, PL/SQL, OAF, ADF).
  • Review and approve technical designs and code to ensure compliance with Oracle best practices.

Project Management & Delivery

  • Plan and prioritize technical deliverables for Oracle EBS projects, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with project managers to define scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of technical solutions with quality and within budget.
  • Support testing cycles (unit, system, integration, and UAT) and manage defect resolution.

Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide leadership in resolving complex technical issues and system incidents.
  • Ensure proactive monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning of Oracle EBS environments.
  • Stay current with Oracle technologies, patches, and emerging tools.
  • Drive automation, process improvements, and adoption of modern Oracle tools and methodologies.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Oracle E-Business Suite technical development and support.
  • 3+ years in a technical leadership or management role.
  • Expertise in Oracle EBS R12 architecture and technology stack.
  • Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, Workflow, XML/BI Publisher, OAF, ADF, and Web Services.
  • Experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) and Oracle Integration tools (SOA Suite, OIC, API development).
  • Proficiency in database design, performance tuning, and Unix/Linux scripting.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud (Fusion) integration or migration projects.
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS modules such as Financials, Supply Chain, HRMS, or Manufacturing.
  • Exposure to DevOps tools, CI/CD, and automation frameworks.
  • PMP, ITIL, or Oracle Certified Professional credentials.
  • Experience in regulated or global enterprise environments.
