Role overview
We are seeking a highly organised, intellectually curious, and execution-focused professional to support the Chairperson’s Office in driving the Boardroom Program and broader governance initiatives.
The role requires close collaboration with Partners, Executive Directors, and external stakeholders to curate thought leadership, deliver high-impact engagements for independent directors, and strengthen Deloitte’s leadership position in governance and enterprise risk.
Key responsibilities
1. Program management & execution
- Anchor the end-to-end program management of the Boardroom Program, ensuring seamless planning, execution, and follow-through.
- Manage the annual calendar of board-focused events, masterclasses, and dialogues.
- Develop and maintain PMO frameworks, trackers, database, dashboards, and monthly reports for leadership review.
2. Content, themes & thought leadership
- Work with the Chairperson to identify priority governance themes, emerging risks, and strategic topics for the program.
- Lead development of content for:
- Event themes, agendas, briefs
- Discussion points for the Chairperson
- PoVs, articles, newsletters, and emailers
- Case-studies with differentiated and unique content for Boardroom program members
- Partner with internal teams (SRT, T&T, A&A, Tax, Marketing) to co-create insights and identify collaboration opportunities.
3. Speaker & experience curation
- Identify, evaluate, and engage high-calibre speakers: board members, governance experts, regulators, industry leaders, academics.
- Curate experiences for independent directors, ensuring each session delivers value, relevance, and strategic depth.
- Manage speaker briefing, preparation, and post-event knowledge capture.
4. Governance & Chairperson support
- Provide research, analysis, and briefing notes to support the Chairperson’s external engagements with industry bodies, chambers of commerce, and governance forums.
- Assist with speech notes, talking points, and governance-related content development.
- Track emerging policy developments, regulatory conversations, and boardroom trends to inform the Chairperson’s priorities.
5. Stakeholder collaboration
- Work closely with Partners and Executive Directors across Governance, Risk, ESG, and Regulatory domains.
- Coordinate with Marketing, BD, PR, and sector teams to amplify program visibility and identify co-hosting opportunities.
- Manage relationships with external institutions, governance networks, and director communities.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential
- 6–10 years of experience in program management, corporate governance, risk, public policy, research, or leadership enablement roles.
- Strong writing, synthesis and content development skills (must be able to develop briefs, concept notes, and thought leadership).
- Demonstrated ability to interface with senior leaders and handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple stakeholders and timelines.
- Comfort with high visibility, fast-paced deadlines, and ambiguity.
Preferred
- Exposure to board governance, enterprise risk, ESG, regulatory engagement, or policy think-tanks.
- Experience curating leadership forums, CXO roundtables, or knowledge-driven events.
- Strong research orientation and ability to translate complex topics into crisp insights.
