Your work profile
- Lead SAP MM IS-Retail workstreams across implementation, rollout, transformation, enhancement, migration, and support engagements.
- Manage end-to-end project delivery, including planning, resource management, risk mitigation, stakeholder communication, and governance activities.
- Conduct business workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with retail, merchandising, supply chain, and procurement stakeholders.
- Design and govern SAP MM and SAP IS-Retail solutions aligned with business objectives, industry best practices, and retail transformation strategies.
- Lead the configuration and implementation of Merchandise Management, Article Master Management, Assortment Management, Procurement & Purchasing, Inventory Management, Store Replenishment, Retail Pricing, Vendor Management, Invoice Verification, Stock Transfer Processes, and Physical Inventory processes.
- Drive process optimization initiatives across retail merchandising, procurement, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
- Lead retail master data governance initiatives covering article, assortment, site, vendor, and pricing master data.
- Oversee integration design and execution between SAP MM IS-Retail and SAP SD, SAP FICO, SAP EWM/WM, SAP CAR, SAP Ariba, SAP MDG, and other enterprise applications.
- Review and approve functional specifications, solution designs, testing strategies, and project deliverables.
- Lead SIT, UAT, cutover planning, go-live execution, hypercare, and post-production stabilization activities.
- Manage data migration, validation, reconciliation, and business readiness activities for retail transformation projects.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, providing strategic recommendations on retail operations, inventory optimization, and supply chain improvements.
- Manage project escalations, stakeholder expectations, and critical issue resolution.
- Mentor and develop team members while driving SAP Retail best practices and capability building initiatives.
- Support pre-sales activities, solutioning, project estimations, proposals, and client presentations.
Key Requirements
- 9-12 years of SAP consulting experience with strong expertise in SAP MM and SAP IS-Retail.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on SAP IS-Retail experience in implementation, rollout, or transformation programs.
- Strong expertise in Merchandise Management, Article Master, Assortment Management, Procurement, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Store Replenishment, Vendor Management, Invoice Verification, Stock Transfers, and Physical Inventory processes.
- Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P), retail supply chain operations, logistics execution, inventory optimization, and omnichannel retail processes.
- Experience leading multiple end-to-end SAP implementation, rollout, transformation, or support engagements.
- Deep knowledge of SAP MM integration with SAP SD, SAP FICO, SAP EWM/WM, SAP CAR, SAP Ariba, and related SAP solutions.
- Experience in retail master data management, merchandising processes, allocation planning, store operations, and replenishment strategies.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Retail for Merchandise Management and modern retail transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to SAP CAR, SAP Fiori, SAP Ariba, SAP EWM, SAP MDG, and SAP BTP is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in team leadership, stakeholder management, solution governance, and delivery management.
- Experience supporting e-commerce, omnichannel retail, and digital retail transformation initiatives.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to engage with senior business stakeholders and lead strategic retail transformation programs.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- SAP MM, SAP IS-Retail, or SAP S/4HANA Retail certification is highly desirable.
- Additional certifications in SAP Retail, SAP EWM, SAP Ariba, SAP MDG, Agile, Scrum, or Project Management will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Retail, FMCG, Grocery, Fashion & Apparel, Consumer Goods, E-commerce, or related industries is preferred.
- Exposure to global retail transformation programs, SAP Activate methodology, and multi-country retail rollouts will be an added advantage.
