Your work profile:

• Design, develop, and maintain API and microservices automation frameworks using Java.
• Test Java-based APIs, microservices, core banking services, payment flows, trade finance applications, and backend systems.
• Validate end-to-end service interactions, system integrations, customer journeys, and trade finance transaction workflows.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA), participate in defect triage, and enhance overall quality governance.
• Collaborate with backend, payments, trade finance, cloud, and product teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Contribute to and review Test Strategy, Test Planning, and Test Management activities.

Key skills required:

• 9+ years of SDET / QA Automation experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java (mandatory).
• Hands-on experience with API automation using:
• REST Assured
• Postman/Newman
• Karate (preferred)
• Experience in testing Java-based APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of:
• Service contracts
• Mocking/stubbing
• JSON/XML validation
• API schema validation
• Integration testing patterns
• Strong exposure to Banking and Financial Services domains, including Retail Banking, Payments, or Trade Finance.
• Good understanding of Trade Finance products and workflows such as:
• Letters of Credit (LC)
• Bank Guarantees (BG)
• Documentary Collections
• Supply Chain Finance (Good to Have)
• Trade transaction lifecycle and message flows
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle.
• Strong experience with Linux, log analysis, and debugging backend flows.
• Knowledge of API development fundamentals (endpoints, status codes, payload structures, authentication, authorization).

Good to Have

• Experience contributing to Test Strategy, planning, reporting, and Test Management.
• Familiarity with banking regulatory and compliance-driven testing.
• Exposure to Trade Finance platforms and integration testing across trade processing ecosystems.
• Understanding of SWIFT MT/MX messages, ISO 20022, or trade-related payment message flows.
• Basic understanding of Docker/Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber) and reporting tools (Allure, Extent Reports).
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
• Understanding of API security concepts including OAuth2, JWT, certificates, and secure authentication mechanisms.

Additional Preferred Requirement:

• Candidates with prior experience in Trade Finance testing, automation, or banking transformation programs involving Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Documentary Collections, and SWIFT integrations will be highly preferred.
